Rex in Bama, can you upload some pics on how you routed your exhaust? It appears you went along the outer frame rail? Based on the axle Im guessing this was the stock routing but Im curious. Thanks
many thanks for taking the time to upload the pics!

Is there a truck in those shots?? Oh, never mind, there it is...Honestly, I was going to move the truck outside to get good lighting for pictures to show you all the improvements. The interior light, rear bench seatbelts installed and the rear license plate bracket lights are working now. But, my sweetheart came to see what I was doing and then I got distracted. I couldn’t help it, she became the photographer’s subject

Pretty close to the one I ordered last night.! Yours is more fancier.@Soberacho i immediately went out and stuck in one of those USB cigarette lighter adapters…no one I know smokes, I never have
For the life of me, I could not disconnect the wires in the back of the 12v power port/cig lighter. I guess I jiggled it enough to wake it up and also shoved and swirled a maroon scotch bright up in there drizzled in a little corrosion x. I can now charge my phone and Bluetooth speaker. It’s like the future is now.Pretty close to the one I ordered last night.! Yours is more fancier.
I installed a cigarette lighter last night. Now I can charge my phone while I'm out and about in La Sancha. Yay..!
(it's the little things in life that excite me the most)
I’ve only seen my ammeter move a wee bit here or there (50amp). It’s always pegged in the middle. Not going to charge your phone if the ammeter is to the left of the line. It looks to me like your alternator isn't charging...
Charging would put the needle to the right side of the line right?
I've got an fj55 without an ammeter so I'm a little jealous that you even have one. Working correctly is a little tricky because all of the loads of the vehicle would need to connect at the ammeter, if the ammeter is to work correctly. Working correctly it would go negative when you're discharging your battery, positive when you're charging, and stick in the middle when you're off, or making as much power as you're using.I’ve only seen my ammeter move a wee bit here or there (50amp). It’s either broken or working correctly?
How’s the saying go?
“If you can’t fix it with a hammer, you’ve got an electrical problem”
I think in this case, it’s using me. Whether correctly or incorrectly remains to be seen…I've got an fj55 without an ammeter so I'm a little jealous that you even have one. Neat little units but people rarely use them correctly.
That is distressing to hear. I didn’t stop to think that a company in this arena could produce inferior products and sell them with no regard. After all, land cruisers will travel along for decades yet here is a product that can’t survive the box being opened?I bit the bullet and bought the much maligned JTO header for “the mistress” I’m at a point where it has to be at least somewhat mobile, and can’t continue waiting for the Marks/Downey unit in development…
The JTO header is pretty bad quality overall and I’m bummed that a new part like it is going to take several hours of labor to make right.
1st: where the tubes weld to the head mating surface, the surface is incredibly uneven. To the point Remflex will not seal it.
2nd: Ray Charles welded it, not only are the welds ugly, I can see daylight through the collector and in the seams between four of the six cylinder tubes at the flange.
Pitiful overall.
Rant off, I’ll get the flux welder out, fix it myself and regret not being able to wait for the Downey recreation.

I love the retro Holley+Downey air cleaner assembly. That's what I put on my dear old '70 FJ40 in the 70's. Also red!4plus F/R flip kit, booster/master/prop valve, rear disc brake swap, front axle rebuild/knuckle swap.
