I love this. Mine doesn't have the twisted parts, but I have liked my steering wheel wrapped like this pretty much since I've owned it.

First had to fix some areas that came loose from the metal support and straighten it. Then filled the cracks. Ready for glassing.

Looks great. What do you fill the cracks with?
 
After 12 years, my Orion transfer case started pumping gear lube into the transmission, so I installed a bypass hose from @shipmag . Nice piece of equipment; well made, perfect fit, really fast shipping too.

Rage Gold body filler. It needs to be either covered in vinyl afterwards or glassed. I guess some have had good luck just painting after using body filler, but this dash was so bad it cracks just breathing on it.

I like pizza cutters and balloons, but $60 steel wheels for $300 a piece is, well, fkn nuts. I mean, why stop at $300 ea? Why not $500?

Better safe than sorry. The bypass hose wouldn't hurt anything even if it was not needed currently.

The days of $60 steel wheels are in the rearview just like $500 fj40’s, free 2f’s, and $2.00 gasoline.

What are you talking about? OEM steel wheels can be had for under $600 for a whole set

Thats what I was thinking! I have seen some fleebay specials for 4 for 550$ with hub caps too. city racer has 16 inch painted ones for 1400 maybe thats it? But I think that is actually 5 wheels and its already painted in oem gray.

If it’s of interest, I just run the stock spacer under the sniper with no heat shield and I don’t see any issues with it. I also have hard lines all the way to the sniper. But mine is also an F engine/intake with no bolt provisions for the heat shield.
