It is always curious to find what is still available from Toyota. Replaced the M10 hardware on the steering linkage clamps.

It’s definitely hit or miss……. replaced tail light lenses just today!

I got my main sniper-kit kit in and still waiting on another order. But in the meantime I can get a few things done. Drilled out the holes on the mounting plate and bolted everything down with new gaskets and sealant. Also was advised to fill around the bolts to assure a proper seal.

You could remove the center area of the gasket by razor knifing it around the perimeter.
Long term exposure to fuel and heat could degrade it to the point that it removes itself.
I might have been tempted to radius the edges of the manifold entry but that's just me.

I'm actually more worried about the gasket between the adapter and tb doing that because it's just hanging mid air, but I definitely understand where you're coming from

I'm planning on doing my fuel system tomorrow, is there any reason why I can't set my pump and filters up like this?

You are good as long as you have the GM “corvette” pressure regulating fuel filter (with the return line to the gas tank) installed after (downstream) of the fuel pump

Better to use too much gasket sealant on the intake manifold adapter gasket and adapter to sniper gasket. Even just the smallest air leak will cause all kinds of issues. Also make sure you use a good, extra thick gasket on the exhaust manifold to exhaust pipe flange as any air leak here will also cause havoc with the O2 sensor. Ask me how I know.. 😩

Well obviously, fuel would just leak out with no hose connections between those….

Just kidding. Provided the filtering is in the right order, I don’t see why not. I like an external pump as close yo the tank as possible.

Got 95% of my lights to work. Contact cleaner and good bulbs help 😉 I think I need a turn signal flasher unit (hazards work, signals on left side don’t). Still struggling with reverse light (could be transmission switch?) and license plate light (new and plugged into same connector as tail light that works).
Adjusted the rear brakes in my quest to bleed/test/adjust proportioning valve.
Drained rear diff oil, cleaned cover.

More likely turn switch id guess

Got a good ground at the number plate lamp?

I had to trim the gasket as well. I found that the butterflies would catch from time-to-time cause a really nasty sticking throttle. Just as a heads-up.
