Well, I do have to modify my tunnel…and I just so happen to have a sheet of 3/8” plexiglass.Gonna be a shame to cover that up with the floorboard.

I've done a lot of vacuum forming of plastics in my trade. I'd not recommend plexiglass for a trans tunnel. Plexiglass is notch sensitive and can/will crack with an impact. I'd choose Lexan over plexiglass. Although Lexan is hygroscopic and should be dried before molding to avoid bubbles in it. Although a window in it would be cool... although nearly impossible to keep clean on a 40 that doesn't live in a showroom. It certainly could be done if the correct procedures are followed.Look into Vacuforming!
Damn that's cool!Know what you mean, but add that to being a natural born klutz from the start.
imagine what it is like making little crap like this.

How is the footwell clearance with the cage? That’s one thing I always wondered on one.A few Pre GSMTR mods! MetalTech Family cage with single stage gray paint over epoxy primer.

Yes I made it. I have made most of my living over forty years making and selling miniatures.Did you make that? It’s very nice!
I have driven and been in several and had never noticed any interference or inconvenience, however when we initially tacked mine together to confirm clearance of the doors, window cranks, hardtop bolts etc. I became a little concerned, especially since this is a 78’ and later 40’s have slightly wider doors. How is the footwell clearance with the cage? That’s one thing I always wondered on one.
