I’ll give you a hint… it’s on an island, and not in the continent USA… :D

Found a picture that looks much the same…

installed OEM Toyota defrost clips 90467-07003, washed it and joined a 64th annual antique car parade. First time ever doing this. The FJ40 is always a crowd pleaser. An enjoyable way to spend a Sunday.

Pardon the lack of quality pics.
Installed the new-to-me front driver side vent window on my 55. The wierd washer dictates rotation. I know that now. Kicked my butt for far longer than I care to admit. Dang washer almost won. Critically, however, it didn't.

More door rubber tomorrow. Sniper is still on B/O. Until that glorious day, I'll continue chipping away at the little stuff.

I'm going to say Oahu. Not much to go by in the foreground of the pic. Incidentally, they changed their tags last year. I'll be there in 3 weeks.

I will never compete with you @ToyotaMatt, you have the best connector connections of anyone. These are a few of mine for the emissions computers:

the only person i am in competition with Russ .......

is the dude in the mirror i see in the morning each day when brushing me teeth

that being said , i don't have ANY emissions boxes , connector input plugs ?

ill be hitting up your shop hot-line later tonight for our regular weekly trade-barter and beers discussion ............

why 🤔

because :

HOUSTON : THIS TEq Just Landed and it's ALIVE as well too !

after dealing with seized engine.... got a "new" one ... It takes 9 hours of driving..
A healthy looking 2f and no seized ... valves moving and sound as an air pump...
fingers crossed on compression and block condition...

Yanked the door panels. Vaccumed out whatever foul smelling gunk was stuck inside the doors (dobber nests, leaves, a few dead lizards, gross muck/mud).

Finished all door rubber. Waiting on a inner door handle. Started shopping materials for "custom" door panel upholstery.

Got the Good News, Sniper and kit is on its way!!!!!!!

Door skins &/or 1/8” Baltic Birch plywood make nicer inner door panels than hardboard.

You're actually supposed to support those and tie them down?

I've always just chucked them in the back of a trailer and let them roll around, right @Thechief86 ?

That’s right… definitely wouldn’t want them to stay in place if it flipped upside down or anything like that.

Drove topless in the morning drizzle, worked on some interior lighting in the 40 then had dinner by the water front as the sun went down. Decided it was time to throw on the softop for fall afterwards and had a few beers during the installation.

I installed a brand new, out of the box Edelbrock 1916 offroad carb last night and it immediately started to flood. I took a look at it this morning to see if the floats somehow got messed up and found I wasn't able to take one of the metering rods out so I could pop off the airhorn. Looks like whoever put this thing together bodged up one of the metering rods pretty badly and the floats had been set at 1/4 inch! I was able to straighten it out and adjust the floats to 7/16 and then it fired right up. I'll give edelbrock a call on Tuesday and see about getting new rods sent.
