What have you done to your Land Cruiser this week?

Hey Bean, if those calipers are the same as 40 calipers you could get oem rebuilts for 60 bucks each and be done with it.
May be looking into that next.

I despise prepping for paint. All new steel welded in and a thin layer of metal reinforced bondo to cover some of the low spots on the curve. Might just shoot Eastwood two party epoxy primer today. Last pic is a before.

Well, after getting the interior back together, including the back seat (FINALLY!), I was able to attend my first car show over the weekend. Rest assured, it was the only LV in it. Most people didn't know what exactly they were looking at, but a few did. One guy came up to me asking if I really knew what I had. I assured him that I did. His response was that it was the "car of the show" as far as he was concerned (out of over 250 entries). Was a fun day.

a new day has dawned and a new highest possible Benchmark BAR set

in my TEq world and in my Land Cruiser goings on this week …

i will be making a monodical step by step transition to all Gold Cad / Yellow Chromate Electroplated or Silver BLUE Zinc Electroplated also and or ..

it’s a brave new and exciting world now I hope this pans out for the greater good of the Vintage Toyota Land Cruiser Community As a whole

my goal on paper and in my fragile egg shell mind is to be fully plated by start of holidays season , that's the plan anyway

if you need to know or want to know if something is newly fresh plating or not , please simply ask , don't be shy speak up and

Not yet. Still looking into possibilities.. 😉

continuing on with my cap: placed the seam sealer (3m self leveling). it was a bit of a learning curve in that it comes out clear and against the gray primer makes it extremely difficult to judge the level of the sealer in the gutter. needless to say, it got a bit too deep where I started on the back section but not so bad that i need to remove it. overall, it really works nice and is easy to apply once you buy the gun. one other note: one tube got me about 3/4 around the cap before i ran out. even considering i filled heavy on the back section, i don't think one tube would be enough to get a good fill unless your rivets are very flush and your able to do a very shallow, uniform bead.
