Used some of the sheet steel left over and made a cover for where the stock heater blower use to be. Mounted the Robb MC power surge there instead. Just need to clean up the cover and paint it.

Tire rotation time. The play in the steering linkage cups the front tires pretty quickly.
Installed a new brake booster, brake master cylinder and front main soft line from @Racer65. Quality products like usual. Made sure everything was adjusted and bled. Think my overheating drums are cured, temps from 190F down to 120F now. Plus, power off idle is so much more responsive, without a bad booster.
I know Matt, it’s on my list at some point.

I have the same original bracket on my 71, but no bottle or washer nozzles. Was the bracket included on all 40’s?
i was first a PIO or PORT INSTALLED OPTION , then standard equipment in 1972ish

I debated that very setup while doing my restoration, but since I had no squirters or wiring, I opted to not add the washer kit. But I kept the bracket for the next owner if they want to go down that road. I’ve seen generic squirters in the hood on some 40’s, then some without. 3 of the other cruisers I’ve had didn’t even have the bracket; but I guess they were missing a lot of stuff, besides rust and a lot of PO holes.

Im building a gazebo structure to park my 40 under. It’s a kit that comes in a million parts. The ultimate “some assembly required“. It’ll be nice to have it under a solid roof and behind a gate. So now all the sub assemblies are done and I just have to put it up. Stay tuned.

each have one has only one squitter hole , NOT 2 like late modle fl40's
there small and round capsule shaped , fro my R&D , and i DUG hard this is same exact period correct parts kits from DENSO Japan today i source and back in the DAY one
