was great, managing the clutch to wind the original wire rope back onto the drum.i like your #7 Bolts Mr Letterman![]()
Installed a new brake booster, brake master cylinder and front main soft line from @Racer65. Quality products like usual. Made sure everything was adjusted and bled. Think my overheating drums are cured, temps from 190F down to 120F now. Plus, power off idle is so much more responsive, without a bad booster.

You mean this leaky booster is costing me power? Well that changes everything!Plus, power off idle is so much more responsive, without a bad booster.

I debated that very setup while doing my restoration, but since I had no squirters or wiring, I opted to not add the washer kit. But I kept the bracket for the next owner if they want to go down that road. I’ve seen generic squirters in the hood on some 40’s, then some without. 3 of the other cruisers I’ve had didn’t even have the bracket; but I guess they were missing a lot of stuff, besides rust and a lot of PO holes.
Drove it to local Cars and Coffee this morning. Came home to find this shot on their FB page. I'll call it "Rising Sun"
