Either but i'd replace that steel fan blade before it goes in. It looks new but have seen some bad stuff happen on here when they decide to break

Replaced the water pump and cleaned up the supports. But the radiator decided to leak once I put it back in. So off to Mudrak's for a new radiator. Question is-do I paint it black or leave it as is? Opinions?

Took me a second to realize who "Mick " was.Do what Mick says, “Paint it Black.”
Took my boy for an "adventure" for Mac's 99K mile birthday. Was a fun time after a full tune. Feel I need to advance a bit more as the passes to get here were a bit slow. I think a Holley Sniper is in my future to make this a bit easier at our altitude. Still amazed where this old rig will go with little to no effort.

‘78 will have TC rebuilt before the year is outParked my 40 in the garage for some maintenance, ordered a rear pinion flange, seal, and new stake nut from Cruiser Outfitters.
Maybe I can stop it from dripping gear oil from the rear pinion.
Next I might think about rebuilding the t case, or finding a suitable candidate to rebuild and swap in.

Curious what a job like that would cost. Mind sharing the quote when you get it?View attachment 2460736
Stripped all of the hardware and dropped my doors off at the body shop for an estimate on the sheet metal work and admired @Land Cruiser Junky ’s FJ45LV.
Thanks for the referral, Gene!
What build date is your 74. Mine is a 11/73Well, it's been a 3 year process, but I actually got mine out and took it for a spin!View attachment 2459990View attachment 2459993View attachment 2459996 Couldn't of done it without all the help and things I've read on here!

Ive got to go over my plan details again I didnt know there was much coverage for things besides wrecks. Ive had hagarty agreed upon value for about 5 years but I think I remember im not supposed to drive it except to car shows, keep in garage etc. I probably should take a look at the details.Filled 'er up.... and parked on a slope (in a parking lot, not next to a mountain stream)
Thankfully I have Hagerty's insurance and will be good as new shortly.

Thanks for the feedback. I am also not sure how much these things should cost.... My driver door has some rust on the bottom too - was wondering if I should drop it off or spend the time trying to fix it. Best of luck with the work!Estimate was $1200 and about a week. It’s on the high side of what I hoped, but based on what I’ve seen from Gene’s LV I anticipate a top notch job. I can’t say what I expected because it’s the first time I’ve asked to have any real body work done at all. I’m not looking to make it a show truck, just a bit nicer inside and out than it is.
The bottoms are rusted through in parts. Not so bad as some that I’ve seen on Mud. Plus there are speaker cutouts that they are going to repair, too.
At this point I figure in for a penny, in for a pound.

For perspective, about 4 years ago, I paid $1200.00 each for a pair of NOS doors from another Mud member.
