Got the tub mounted yesterday. Struggling with the body mounts on the rear. The bolts in my body kit could have been 1/4” longer and it would have been a breeze. Hope to have that fixed today.

Thanks for the feedback. I am also not sure how much these things should cost.... My driver door has some rust on the bottom too - was wondering if I should drop it off or spend the time trying to fix it. Best of luck with the work!
Go for it, it’s very rewarding work.

For perspective, about 4 years ago, I paid $1200.00 each for a pair of NOS doors from another Mud member.

Was that for a complete door or just the shell? See a set of NOS on eBay right now. $3,111.10 plus shipping. Have small dents and surface rust. These would fit 75-81. They are not dimpled from the inside to push the dome light switch in.

10/81 doors with this bump are hard to find in the US. Want wing windows too you looking for doors from another market.

To show how much prices have changed bought these doors for $25 apiece thirty to thirty five years ago. Peeling paint makes them look bad but they are both rust free.

The hard top and ambulance doors I paid $200 back in 1998. These are rust free as well. I"m sure members who have been into cruisers for years can't believe the prices today. I bought parts for my own use believing they would dry up and become unavailable period. Never expected they become so popular and prices would be thru the roof.

I’m not looking for doors. I bought pair of NOS shells and used them on my 45.

Wasn't trying to sell any doors just curious if you earlier post was for a complete set of doors or just the shells. Figured was just shells but your post said doors.

Any chance you could give me some dimensions to accept the door jamb switches I want to add. My door are 1980s and do not have the dimple?

I gladly would if I had some to measure. Was hoping to have a set in hand by now. Was planning on getting the set I do have in Australia shipped the rest of my parts late spring but when the lock downs started for Covid-19 I put that on hold. Now where they are at is a hot spot and not sure I'll have them shipped. Do have a 82 tub can measure where the switches mount on the A pillars. Would have to double check but believe it was requires the VIN plaque on the A pillar be moved below the door limit.

Looked at it and waited for the battery to arrive from amazon.

Why not just tape up the positive lead for the battery. Then just jump it using the large lead at the starter. After that just drive it. Having a battery is overrated. I have done this in the past when I had a dead battery. Even with a dead short in the battery once the positive lead is disconnected your good. Did this to get to the auto parts store to purchase another.
