How thick is that steel on that thing, 11ga? Weighs about as much as a 2F long block?

10 gauge. 175 lbs... Score is currently:

Deer 1
Truck 0

Hope this evens the odds....

Did some work to the work truck this weekend. Installed a roll up tonneau cover. Wrapped my roof, hood, and rear bumper. Main reason for wrap was I Wanted to protect the roof before the roof rack was installed - the seal on the fairing could rub through the paint long term. Transplanted the roof rack, too.

your cat doesn't look too good but the truck looks great!

I have not - have been considering it though. Did you?
I did. Being able to lock and unlock with the doors and the key fob was a nice addition. Apparently Tacoma tailgate theft is a big thing.

I did an inspection for a guy a couple months ago who transplanted himself from Cali and he mentioned that it's a problem out there lol. Wow.

Courtesy of @kc_chevota, new u joints in the rear driveshaft, new speakers, and a new cat. The new cat seems to have helped the idle some and the shaft is now properly lubed up!

Almost forgot just how solid these 80s really are

I took my stock dual cat off several years ago and put on a single small one, thinking it was plugged. I cut it off before and after the double cat, looked in and it looked fine. I just cut the double cats apart, and between them was all plugged up!!! Makes sense now why it was running poorly.

That’s a keen observation and pretty clever to give it a chop in the middle! Not sure if @kc_chevota saw that with mine but he took the torch to split it without taking the slider off. Inquiring minds.

aside from a few exhaust leaks at the cats, the internals looked fine.
