Getting the F toy ready for Tuttle. Sure hope the weather cooperates. Call the front Dif and locker actuator to reseal, and found there were some missing parts.... also replaced all the studs on the doff and new locker actuator.

I'm playing the same game as Kelly. Pulled the front diff to reseal. Discovered a better use for my wife's Cricut machine. In house gaskets!

Installed a fuel pressure gauge from LC Engineering on the cold start injector to diagnose my hard to start when warm issue. Was running 30 PSI at idle, spec is 38. Fortunately the 4runners have an access panel under the rear seat making fuel pump changes a breeze. New pump in, now putting out 38 psi at idle, 44 with the vacuum line pulled off the FPR. Need to get it warm and confirm, but should be back in business. Also, old fuel hose apparently was only able to withstand 30 PSI.

Also pulled the front spring packs. Measurements on the truck showed that the RF looked like it was flattened out a bit. I'd say so! A little redneck rearching and we'll see how it holds up. Didn't want to spend money on new springs yet since I want to go buggy and am toying with coilovers or air shocks on a 3 link up front. Need to see how it does on the test drive to warm it up, once it's back on all 4 tires.

@CrowleyFJ40 -- yeah, the welding on that entire truss is pretty bad....

On your fuel line, if that is in tank, there is actually special hose for in tank... I found out the hard way.

Amazon product ASIN B005806IXA
Also, thanks for your advice on brakes, I ended up getting some new calipers - they were stock.

Nope, not the one in the tank. Went through that years ago when all the sudden one day it wouldn't start. No fuel. Pulled the pump, and the hose inside was completely disintegrated with the exception of the braid!

New pinion seal and dust cover, new locker after shaving off the corner the fit! They really squeeze that in the locker into the F toy.

Also finished up the new brake calipers, what sounds like a really easy thing.. it was a little bit of a pain... When I took out the calipers the top driver side bolt did not have a washer which allowed it to go all the way in and hit the rotor. This of course buggered it up quite a bit. I noticed this, but the only way to cut off the protruding end would be to remove the rotor, which to do so you had to remove the caliper which was held on by this bolt. So as I remove the bolt I did it very slowly and moved in and out trying to create new threads on the bolt. Evidently the bolt was stronger than the tab on the six shooter knuckle and stripped it out. Colin discovered that the six shooter knuckles are the same on each side so I could’ve torn everything down and swap them, but some quick in her web searching found that the M 12 x 1.25 is just slightly smaller than 1/2-20.

so a quick trip down to Ace Hardware and tapped out to 1/2-20, with a grade 8 bolts.

Picked up a new lock set for the 80. Jdm 80 series have laser cut keys like a GX or LX. Also, the key says Land Cruiser which is cool. I only had 1 key that was a copy and it only worked ignition and front door. Also replaced the Japanese jiberish on the door panel.

Since the power steering pump was out, I decided to replace the seals in it.

Just (reluctantly) sold my 80. I had been given a set of running boards that I had intended to sand down and paint this winter. They are solid, and could be refinished nicely. They are free to a good home.

Rebuilt the knuckles on the mini-truck with Trail Gear six shooter upgrade and HD Marlin inner seals. BIG thanks to @CrowleyFJ40 for his help and expertise with the centering tool.
Then I replaced the front calipers (frozen) and pads. Also replaced a slightly worn steering stop on the axle.

Today’s project was new pads, rotors and caliper paint for the 200. 98000 miles on the rotors and they were pulsating.

Honestly, sell them on ebay... crazy what people will pay for these bend-o-matic things.

Finished up front end work - new slotted/drilled rotors, pads, upper control arms and sway bar links.

Also bought a new truck. I really wanted a 2018-2019 tacoma in Calvary Blue but You can’t find a deal on a 1-2 year old Tacoma with 15-40k miles. For $1000 more you can buy a brand new one. Crazy. So I settled with a new Cement TRD Off-Road. The 2nd gen will be for sale soon minus the roof rack.
