Impressive.

Added a Thule Hyper box. You can easy fit 2-3 kids in there along with skis and boots.

Your going to love the thule hyper, I got mine last year. The interior LED is pretty good at night. Funny you mentioned fitting the kids, I said the same to my wife.

Here's an out of way method of storing your hyper box when not in use. Harbor freight had these bicycle hangers. I think I paid $12 for a set.

Hey you and I think the same I have the same box and the same lift system! Love the box... Drove 3300 on a north west trip. Idaho, canada, down the coast to the redwood forest, lake tahoe... and still managed to average about 18.4 mpgs fully loaded with 5 people camping gear and all. Box is pretty aerodynamic.

Didn't do it this week but did it 3 months ago for our trip... Installed the prestigious society dvd override system. Works flawlessly could not even tell it was in there... if you didn't know...

My wife operates the NAVI and DVD system when I drive. I still don't like to do it, I have tunnel vision.

Damn. Wish I had more height in the garage. I've only got 7ft doors. Can't drive into garage with Thule box on.

Something else came in today but I can't post 2 things in one day! Leave that for tomorrow.

I can't drive into mine either but the box is so light I just walk it in and then up it goes.

By the position of your hyper box hanging in the photo it looks as though you could just lower that puppy directly onto of your car. nice set up
Thanks. The garage is high enough it's the garage door that's too low. It's just a standard hight door (unfortunately).

Same situation here with the 7' door. I have an ancient Thule Cascade (at least 10 years old) that is about due for replacement. Maybe the Hyper is the ticket!

I have recently shoulder pressed the cascade up on top of the LC. Great fun!

Arrived last night. They're rough. Let the powdercoating begin.
Thinking really dark bronze with gloss black beadlock
Or shadow chrome center and gloss black beadlock.

Well, you know where my vote is...

This bronze is nice and dark.
Anyone have photoshop skills?

Quick question - Are you guys just mounting it to the factory rack/crossbars? I need to look into one of those!

Yep. Factory crossbars. Goes on in minutes. But I'd say it's a 2 person job. It's big and awkward to hold onto.

Yes what arich said. I have done it solo before though. The box itself is light, its just big.

I mount my boxes to thule bars only. The OEM bars on both my old 100 and my wife's RX400H are pretty flexible and the boxes vibrate a lot. The box is rock solid on my thule bars mounted to the rails.

. Looking to install my old Rocket Box for the first time on my new LX once it starts snowing.

I'm looking to raise the door in my garage to allow me to drive the LX in with the box mounted. Surprisingly my wife supports this idea, while all my friends think I'm nuts. Kind of worries me.
