I think silver center with black chrome bolts.

Yup, that's the ticket ;)

All black.

TRD can easily be done in red, pink, purple or green. I just thought solid black over the TRD was soooo understated that only those who know what they are would recognize the wheels. I've got 2 new sets of caps and and old set so I can have fun.

I agree with Desert Nomad and a few others...all black with red TRD lettering. All of them are nice choices though.

I am about 99% done with the bullbar install and I think it came out rather well. As my wife said, "it sure does change the look of the car!" [Pretend she said 'truck' instead]. I just need to finish wiring the driving lights and I need to procure some longer cables for between the winch motor and the control box asI ended up about 1/2 inch too short. :(

I fabricated a bracket to mount the control box on top of the bumper. I'm the world's worst welder, but this is only my second welding project. It turned out decent considering and it's functional and sturdy, which is what matters.

holy crap....you ARE the worlds worst welder...lol. Doesn't matter though, you can't see anything with the box on it.

also, time to ditch the running boards.

Looking good. Congrats on the project. Now delete those boards and get some ATs

Haha!! Knowing you suck is half the battle. :D Just need to practice a little bit more (or a lot more).

Those are ATs...sort of...Michelin LTX A/T2s. I mentioned changing them out for some beefy Duratracs and my wife just rolled her eyes. She doesn't share my Land Cruiser enthusiasm, I guess.

Saving my pennies for the next order from Slee...a set of sliders are definitely on my mind. Until then, I need the running boards so the little ones can get into the backseat. Maybe I'll take 'me off just to see what it looks like.

well, id say most of the people in here don't know how to weld at all and honestly ugly welds don't mean it's not solid. When i first welded I was laughed at but i had the best grill ever...looked like s*** but it cooked like a German hooker.

it will look so much better without running boards but the little ones climbing in is tough. just an excuse to get sliders

brussum...our wives must know each other. I'm impressed you pulled off an aftermarket bumper.

Bought some AT's already. Just bought taller shocks/springs and am waiting to pull trigger on bumper. I'll leave the running boards till the day I need too. Low priority item in my opinion.

Bumper looks good!

I usually gloat that i run A/T tires so i don't punctures. I still do i just attract the weirdest crap to my tires. Last two times were some big ass 12mm bolts in the mastercrafts i got a couple of odd nails embedded side ways at the corner of the lugs on these coopers which gave some slow leaks but now i found this little guy.

Took my brand new one on its first trail today, nothing radical, but it's a start, got to try low gear, etc.
Just getting to know the beast.

You guys are all doing it wrong.

My wife is just like yours too.

Just tell her that the steel bumpers and sliders make the truck that much safer. You throw a word like "Safety" around, and the wife will jump right on board!

Also, @brussum , if you take the running boards off "...just to see how it looks..." you will never want to put them back on. :)

I tried too, but my wife could not get into my truck anymore, so I had to put them back on; granted, she was about 5 months pregnant.

^^^Land Cruiser politics. You've just entered the Land Cruiser Spin Zone.
