Use a high quality RTV and cure 24hrs min before add oil. Doubt it will ever leak. Have never had any issues doing it this was And if Rather that than a failed oil pickup and a blown engine
kind of off subject, but my front diff on my 80 leaked every time I went back with the OEM paper gasket. As soon as I used RTV and let it set up, never leaked again.
They don’t fail though….

I dont know on US LC:s but has apperntly happend on 1VD-FTV. . Plus you get get qet a good view of the engine and if any debris in pan...plus something to do. Whats to loose? on Old V8:s you welded the pickup for a reason

What have I done to my 200 series… well hit another animal. This time was a medium size doe. At least I have an ARB bumper this time. Side note, anyone know where I can get these parts?
