Going 4.30s and e lockers.

Jealous. Gears and Lockers are at the top of my list but I have a whole other list of home improvements I need to take care of first. Looking forward to hearing all about your experience.

Bought Maxtrax and a fantastic (but cheap) carrying case to keep dirt and mud contained. Reasonably padded case with rubberized handles and what appears to be water resistant zipper.

Going 4.30s and e lockers.

Nice!

I just finally went to 4.88 and fully locked. Holy smokes, my power is back…! I was always supremely impressed with even factory capabilities…and our 200’s are amazing without them…but having full power and full confidence wheels will turn when I tell them to (as opposed to traction control cutti g power)… man its just a its a good thing.

I discovered an unusual side benefit to rear locker on my way home from cruise moab…not the typical scenario… Prob needs a video to explain. When I’m out of the hospital, i will try and post.

Anyway, congrats. :steer:

House battery and Redarc BCDC1225D.

The battery is a group 22NF AGM, 63ah. Cabling back to a fuse block on the drivers rear is 6AWG. At no load, the voltage drop at the fuse block is not measurable with my multimeter. I'll test it again once the fridge is running.

Check out the NaviPlus and EC Offroad systems...looks like the same functionality to me (I have the NaviPlus). A couple of threads here on Mud.

Voltage drop is not only a function of the cable resistance (function of cable size and linear proportional to length) but also the number of amps being pumped through. So yes at no load, voltage drop will be near zero. To lay out my cabling needs I made a spread sheet inputting lengths, unit resistance and nominal and peak amperages. By concern now is like yours, how many cables I can run under the sill plates.

There is more room on the right, US passenger side. It is easy to pull the front door sill plate, so it on each side and you’ll see what space is there.

I got two 6 gauge and two 10 gauge under the driver’s side sill to the rear cargo area. Tight, but it can be done.

Added a Roofnest Falcon XL RTT to the Frontrunner Slimline. Instead of FR mounts I went with WEW (Wheel Every Weekend) mounts so the tent sits flush on the rails of the rack. No wind noise whatsoever. The tent has a bit of overhang on each side so I tucked an ARB awning up underneath. Off to Moab for a trial camping trip.

Ripped apart my dash and installed the Apple Carplay system from Custom Car Stereos in Australia.

Was a pain in the ass, but I'm in the process of making a video about the install that I'll make a separate thread for. Everything works great, but my biggest beef is that it must be on "aux" input, thus removing the capability to run the native SiriusXM radio on my truck. I can manually toggle connection or use the Sirius app, but still annoying.

Nice. Anyone of those plugs the XM radio antenna ? I about to open the dash and look for the antenna plug.
