Not really a permanent mod (at this stage) but made use of the HDMI in for the in car entertainment and the 220v power in the boot to hook up a Nvidia Shield media player and my 4G modem so the kids could stream D+/Netflix/Etc on the back tv's while we were driving down south for a trip away. DVD wallet will remain in the car for when we're out of phone signal but for the other 90% of the time it's great.

I wish my kids had a dad like you. This sounds pretty awesome!

haha it's not exactly for altruistic reasons .. but I was getting tired of the same dvd's being watched over and over (We do regular drives up to Geraldton to see family which is about 4 hours away). So this was a bit of a test run to see how well it works and how much peace we can get.. now to sus out if the kids (Both 3.5years old) will actually wear the headphones that came with the car (or does someone know if you can pair a better set to the LX570's infotainment system?).

Sorry for the tease. Tailgate air quick connect port finished so here's a peak under the skirt.

I’m *this* close to picking up my new LC! Literally! Currently sitting in a motel five miles from @Eric Sarjeant ’s shop for a Tuesday morning delivery. We were going to drive from Ohio early AM, but weather didn’t look so good, so drove today before the ice storm. Should be fine by the time we head home.

I’m like a kid on Christmas Eve!! 😁

Yesterday morning. (Some old fart standing in my photo...)

Thank you, @Eric Sarjeant and company!

Kilcarnup, can you offer more details on this and how it works? Are you using this for wireless streaming of Netflix from a mobile phone?
I presume this is their Shield TV product? I would love to have an option to use the HDMI to drive some media other than DVDs.

Yep pretty much, I just used what the car had already (2017 LX570), so I put a powerboard into the 220v output in the rear and plugged in my TPlink 4G modem (speed tests during the drive gave around 50mbit or so which is plenty) and the Nvidia Shield, then just ran a HDMI cable from the shield into the HDMI in at the bottom of the centre console as it has Aux/HDMI/etc in and some other bits and bobs. While not a neat or flash way of doing it the outcome was what I wanted. The only downside is it seems that the front screen can't view the HDMI in so might need to look into this..

It is effectively the same as hotspotting via your mobile but uses a dedicated modem/router for it.

I installed an ikamper skycamp 4X

I am going camping in a couple of weeks and will post a pic of the full setup deployed with the RLD awning as well.

I also installed the EC Offroad unit to have Apple CarPlay.

Excuse the dust, this add on has changed the Car for me. Being able to access Google Maps, Audible and Spotify is game changing.

To note, I am again in the market for a three row vehicle with a baby on the way and the fact I can add this means that vehicle will likely be another LC.

Driver side molle panel. HUGE fan! Comes in carbon fiber and aluminum, all you need is four self tapping plastic screws, but I used stainless machine screws for added weight capacity.

How do you attach items to a rigid Molle panel like this?
I think in theory you waffle weave the accessory, but all I am using it for is a flashlight, handheld ham, and a knife.

Hi Everyone, new to this group. I recently purchased my new LC200HE. Loving it. I have had two previous Toyota’s that got modified. A Tacoma and a Tundra. I will be turning this build into a overlander. Just got done installing the ARB drawer system this past weekend. Ordered a full underside protection from Bud Build. Can’t wait for them to come in.

I just replaced MAF Sensor as a preventative maintenance item as I check off my list of 100k mile plan. I wasn't experiencing any specific issues that caused me to replace the MAF, I just noticed that it would be very easy to do and the part was $88, so I replaced it. This was the very first thing I have done on my list, but I swear the engine runs better/smoother, with a less mechanical sound. Took it for a drive and I can't pinpoint what feels different about it just that it 'feels' like it is running better.

I don't know much about MAF performance degradation and impacts, but I had assumed that if it wasn't performing well, it would be obvious or throw a code. Is it surprising that I am noticing a difference with this one small change?

PCV is next, then plugs/boots, oil change and diffs/transfer case oil change and prop lube.
