Hi Everyone, new to this group. I recently purchased my new LC200HE. Loving it. I have had two previous Toyota’s that got modified. A Tacoma and a Tundra. I will be turning this build into a overlander. Just got done installing the ARB drawer system this past weekend. Ordered a full underside protection from Bud Build. Can’t wait for them to come in.

The skid installation video helped me a lot.

Chrome delete, Fox 2.5” remote res. 17” wheels and tires coming.

How do you like your Fox suspension? Would you mind measuring from center hub to fender front and back unless you didn’t go for max height. I have and love my Icon 3.0 but looking for another suspension system when it’s time to rebuild mine. What UCA and LCA did you go with? Thanks

OT. . .is that a Methuselah or a Jeroboam in your avatar? 🍷

Just put in a deposit for LC # 2 with Ed Martin. I have another kid on the way and will need the third row. Now to fight the urge of not doing another build too. 🤣
You're probably going to want to protect the child in the event of a deer strike though....

Don't forget the BudBuilt door ding protectors. Grocery store parking lots can be hazardous to your paint.

I will need the bull bar first, given my wife’s passion for rear ending other vehicles.
Going to need a suspension to handle all that weight safely...

I realize this is sort of off-topic, but indulge me if you will. I picked up the Gazelle T3X after having looked for a long time at the T4. I usually sleep in the truck, particularly when its freezing cold and my setup for that is great. I just really like a ground tent for warm weather camping and the Gazelle looked really solid. The problem is that the T4, when packed is too long to fit across the cargo area and would either have to ride on the 2nd row floor or on the 2nd row seat itself, and even them I'm not 100% sure it would fit, which means it would probably be riding on the roof. The T3X looked like it MIGHT fit so I pulled the trigger and I am here to report that it does fit with not an inch to spare. So... I guess what I did to my 200 series is load it with a really nice tent, and in a way that works really well from a packing standpoint.

For anyone wondering, I did set it up when I got it because I wanted to check out the material quality and verify reported set-up times before I decided to keep it. The material quality is very high in my opinion and I was able to set it up from the position you see it in that photo to fully deployed (not staked down or anything) in 1:57 without looking at any instructions. I actually slept in it a couple nights to get a feel for it, and its very roomy due to the sides bowing outward. I timed my tear down as well including rolling and packing my sleeping bag, Exped, pillows and fully packing the tent all the way to the cargo area of my truck and did not hurry for a better time. In all it was 10:16, so not bad. I'm guessing less than 3 minutes of that was the tent itself. Ask me how much I hate packing sleeping bags.

I think length has been the #1 limiter for most would-be gazelle owners. I know back in my Tacoma days the only thing that prevented me from getting one was the length. This was a great move on their part. Thanks for the verifying this on the LC. Even though I'm getting an RTT, it's nice to know there is an option that can be tossed in the rear if more than two are traveling.

Thanks for the review. I have been about to pull the trigger on the T3X, glad to know it fits in the back. Do you feel it’s adequate in size for 2 adults plus a 55# dog?

Two people for sure and l don't think the dog would be an issue. There is probably 18-24 inches of floor space not covered by the Exped in the orientation opposite of this photo, which seemed to be a perfect fit for the Exped. This orientation would also work, but the Exped definitely makes contact with the tent walls. Actually it makes contact with the floor, which is a bathtub design. Either way, I think you would be fine.

Does it come with an option for AC and dehumidifier for camping in the South during summer? 🤣

Great write up. I have the T4 and it can be a pain in the arse but it was a gift soooo...

Gazelle nailed it for ease of setup/use/tear down. When I sleep in the cruiser during cold weather it becomes the storage closet for the trip...lol.

Its bearable in hot muggy weather because this thing is practically all windows. Plenty of hot muggy air flow.

We have a gazebo which we love, but the size is a real killer. We strap it on top because that is the only place it can ride, but I am not sure how long it will last riding up there. It has been fine for now. We have taken a number of long trips in all kinds of weather and there is no perceptible deterioration of the storage sack. It is very well made, but eventually Mother Nature will prevail.

Also, I really wish it had aluminum poles. It would probably double the cost but would be worth it IMO.

Here is a shot where it is strapped next to the cargo box and awning that demonstrates the size, which is comparable to their 4 person tent:

I’d be fine with carrying a gazebo up top in the bag. If I show up to camp with a wet gazebo, no problem. If I show up with a wet tent, major problem.
