I need one spare now.

Take one step forward and take two steps back. Got the side plates of the drawers worked on today and the carpenter managed to destroy the runners on the left drawer. Replacement runner should be in by tomorrow and hopefully close the book on the drawers.

Since that backfired thought might as well get something done right today so went down to sort out the exhaust.
I've already removed all cats so I get an annoying zinging sound at 2k rpm. Cut out the area where the cat is and replaced with some straight pipes.

Also removed the end part of the exhaust with the small muffler.

Exhaust note is slightly throatier now. Need to see during the day but doesn't seem very noticeable. I don't know why but aftermarket exhaust tips just look stupid on an LC

Id love to hear a video of the strait pipes.

I'll try to get a video of it. ;) an excuse to romp through the desert like a hoon.

*Just to clarify my stock central muffler is still there. All that was done is straight pipe the rear cat bulge as well as the little end muffler*

Don't know if you saw this video though. Open exhaust past the headers.

I agree. Have you considered turning down the pipe just past the axle? I was pondering that earlier today.

Or at least consider turning the pipe down so that it tucks behind the bumper. I pinched my stock 4Runner pipe closed coming down off a ledge once. I shortly thereafter removed the resonator as you did and did a turn down just behind the bumper. I gotta say it's just a pube away from being illegal -- it wouldnt pass a state inspection if under the passenger compartment -- hasn't gotten caught on anything since modded tho (and no one has to look at it or a stupid aftermarket tip).

Do you have a pic of what you did?

ETA, see the pic now. Thanks.

I didn't know if there would be any issues with heat build up under there but I also wanted to be able to use an exhaust jack i ripped up the rubber end on my previous one on the stock exhaust tip, I'm hoping it would fit properly on this as it would be a huge bonus for all my solo desrt runs. There's usually nothing to winch off of and jacking the vehicle is tricky in soft sand.

Looks great, man.

Put some new shoes on my LC
285/60/18 Yokohama Geolander ATs.

Installed some new Huskeyliner floor and cargo liners today as well.

Next week planing on installing Toyota wheel flairs, and moving my wheel spacer from my other LC to the new one, and hopefully getting the windows tinted.

Finally got around to installing my OE strut spacers I ordered from Beno. Went from 14.5" from lip of ring to 15.5" after the spacers were installed. So looks like I got another 1" of lift. Pretty cool for only $70 in parts. And yes, I am well aware that I have lost a few of my bolts from my wheels. I didn't torque them enough. :( Oh well, off to trdparts4u to order a full replacement set.

Wheels and truck are extremely dirty, so everything looks faded in the picture. I am planning on a full detail today. On that note, anyone got suggestions for black plastic conditioner that doesn't attract dust, and is also a UV protectant and doesn't leave whitte residue when it dries?

303 Aerospace protectant is really good stuff.

Still looks good when it's dirty

Spacer looks great. 1" for that price is unreal, I am definitely ordering a set. Any alignment/camber changes after adding it? Were you able to just unbolt the top of the strut and slide it in or did you have to pull it all apart to get the spacer set?

Whats your center wheel to bottom fender measurement with the spacer?

It did make my camber change a bit. I had to adjust my SPC arms to the max (arms hitting the tire at full droop).

I had to remove the strut from the tower to install the spacer.

I think it is around 23.5" from the center to the lip.

Noticed my drivers High Beam wasnt working. Checked the fuses and one of them was blown. Thats weird. Didnt have one of the little mini sized 15's in my collection, but luckily there was a spare in the fuse box. Guess I need to go and find a replacement.

NEWS FLASH - My TJM T13 shipped this morning from Summit Racing. Not sure if they have more in stock. I checked the website and it read if ordered today it will ship today which leads me to believe theres more - I could be wrong. If you've been wanting one give them a shout and good luck.
