What have you done to your 200 Series this week? (7 Viewers)

For those of who who've installed the ARB drawers without drilling, what mounting point did you use at the rear of the truck? Additionally, does anyone put anything under the front of the drawers since they're basically hanging in the air?

The part that most confused me in the install was their alternating and differing use of front and rear for the drawers and the vehicle.

I didn't drill, I used the instruction section specific for the 200 Series Landcruiser 12/07 ...on. If you follow the measurements ("... leaving two exposed holes, 1018mm apart and 250mm in from the rear plastic trim edge.") you will see which bolt holes for the seats (at rear end of the cargo compartment) to use without drilling.

Haven't figured out what to do with the space under the edge by the seats. But then I am still thinking of how I would like to dress out the appearance at that end - looks sort of unfinished to me.

One week in and finished the first mod. Had originally planned on another RTT, but decided to try the interior sleeping platform for now.

I think there's a special place in hell for the person at ARB who wrote the install instructions.

When I installed the drawers in my 100, my bro in law and I stared at the instructions for probably an hour then threw them away. Once we played with them for a while it went much easier. When it was time to install drawers in my 200, Slee did it :D

On the northern section of Fins-n-Things there's a cattle gaurd for some reason with a bit of a drop off on the far side. I didn't realize how big the drop was and I landed pretty hard. The skids did there JOB I guess, but I would expect them to hold up a bit better than this. At some point, I'll replace both the ARB skids and "sliders" with a set from Budbuilt. I had them on my FJ, they are hard to beat.

That was an anomaly this year. That drop isnt normally there. Fortunately I was warned before we ran it Saturday by ourselves before heading home. It was a pretty good drop

The only practical reason I miss having a spare tire on the rear bumper is not having a spot to able to hang my Trasharoo. I test fitted it to my Gobi ladder today, and I think I can make it work for the few trips a year I need it. I'll have to secure the straps better to protect the paint and glass and keep the load light, but for throwing away light trash I think it will be fine.

I installed ARB drawers in my most recent 200 this past Friday.

I have to admit...... I felt completely unorganized without the drawers, moving from a 2008 to the 2015. It took me a while to find time to install them. Surprisingly, I did the entire install inside of three hours, all by myself. And I could hardly recall how I installed them previously. I had my notes from the previous install though, and that help tremendously.

The gap below the drawers at the front (by second row seats) is where I keep a full sized umbrella, a bicycle floor pump and a set of loppers.

I installed my Gamiviti roof rack on the LX! Now to tweak the rear bumper fitment, finish my compressor install, install lighting and find some sliders. Never ends! ha but its fun along the way.

Looks great! What did you use?

@lcgeek I used the SYLVANIA Headlight Restoration Kit from amazon. Was about $16. I read all the reviews and tips first before my attempt. They grossly underestimate how long it takes to complete the job correctly. I wet sanded for every step by hand (no drill attachment) and it took me about 90 mins total. Hence, why the background lighting is so different between when I started and when I finished. I was VERY happy with the results.

What did this module improve for you or what made you decide to install it?

It allows full settings/NAV/DVD movie playback functions on the FRONT screen *while driving* as opposed to only when in Park and the hand brake is applied.

I've had these RWs in the garage for over a year now. Finally decided to do something with them. I got them thru 2 Craigslist buys. The black ones were gouged up pretty badly by previous owner trying to use regular lug nuts.

They've been repaired and I now have a matching set of 5, powder coated black. The center caps didn't turn out very well, so I ordered a new set.
