Thanks Markuson,

I've put the order then with a note that I've got the 2016. So, hopefully it's the same unit. :)

Should be the same, as the frame of the 2016 200 is unchanged.

Installed a Front Runner Slimline II roof rack, ready for Expo. Good news, no appreciable increase in wind noise and XM satellite reception seems to be un affected.

Unfortunately, it will never fit in the garage again. I guess it will just have to ride out the next hail storm outside :(

I love the ARB sliders and fender guards. Seriously thinking of going this direction since my rig will never be a hardcore rock crawler. Great looking rig and rack!

Looks good

maybe I missed it... why install a roof rack if you can no longer park in your own garage? (it looks great by the way)

I hope you get a hell of a lot of use out of that thing to justify your LC200 getting roached by the Texas sun and hail storms.

I cant

I needed a suitable rack for my roof top tent and other gear such as a hi-lift and extra fuel.
Actually, the 200 stayed outside 99% of the time anyway. I just pulled it in the garage when hail was forcast. If need be, I can still pull the front end in and cover up the rest.

200 Series Garage Cruiser? ;) No thanks!

Put on some 275/60/20s bfg rugged terrains (I know, I wanted KO2's but this was as aggressive as the wife wanted her mall cruiser to look) on a few weeks back, going up from stock 285/50/20s. So a 31" to 33" tire or there abouts.

Everything I have ever known says tire size makes no difference on alignment so didn't bother as it was aligned a few months ago. The wife mentioned it may be pulling and just didnt feel right. I drove it and the steering didnt feel quite right and there was a little pull.

Took it in this morning and sure enough the caster was out. They said they see this on occasion when people go up tire sizes and fixed it but the alignment machine actually attaches to the wheels and I still cant see how the tire size would affect this. It drives much better now and the steering feels more solid but I am still not sure I buy it. I think maybe the last alignment was not done correctly. Anyone here ever have this issue?

How much clearance do you lack? In a pinch, could you deflate the tires to drop a few inches, drive it in, and then reinflate them after you pull it out?

One of the beauties of not having a garage is that you learn to ignore the occasional hail damage or end up very friendly with your insurance company. Ask me how I know...

Wife hit any potholes recently (that she'll admit)?

Whoever did your alignment might have set the caster too low (since left to right seems consistent) but left toe is far enough out of adjustment that I suspect something was bumped.

Tire size alone won't affect alignment, though a larger tire could slightly accentuate anything that's off. More likely you feel it because your sidewall is almost an inch taller and you've sacrificed a bit of stiffness.

Thanks for the input. Denver street are riddled with potholes so good chance that may have knocked out the toe and guessing you are right and the previous alignment which was done at Lexus was not dialed in fully.

I installed a dual battery system system today on my '16. I decided on using Blue Sea's 7622 ACR to manage the isolation. There are fuse blocks in the engine compartment, under the second row seat, and in the cargo area.

The primary reason I went with a dual battery is for powering a new ARB refrigerator and air compressor and I'm hoping to supplement the system with solar for longer trips.

  • Slee Primary Battery Tray
  • Slee Secondary Battery Tray
  • Odyssey PC1400 Group 35 Battery
  • Blue Sea 7622 ACR
  • Blue Sea Fuse Blocks
  • Blue Sea Circuit Breakers
  • Blue Sea ANL Fuse Blocks
  • National Luna Battery Monitor (just for secondary)
  • 1/0 Marine Battery Cable
  • Assorted crimp connectors, cable lugs, heat shrink, wires, etc.
  • Hydraulic Crimpers, Ratcheting Wire Cutter

Overall, the process went pretty smoothly though it took all day to make all the cables, mount the components, install, and test.

I've been neglecting my 200. :(

But I've been having a great time tearing down my 1978

I know what you mean. I really enjoyed building my 40. Love taking the soft top off in the summer and having a convertible. Nothing like walking out in the Garage and wondering which Land Cruiser you will be playing with today. I guess I like Red.

I let my wife have a spot . . . . . Yeah right

Wow, this has potential for something quite amazing. What are your high level plans here?

Full restoration. My build is here: MScruiser's 1978 FJ40

I had a restomod 1968 that was very cool, but this time around, I'm going all original: 2F, uncut fenders, steelies, etc.

Toyota Harrier and two proper color LC. Man what a gorgeous garage.

Installed the OEM front spacers, @arich thanks for the tips to avoid breaking the ball joint & tie rod loose! My shutter valves opened just fine with a little PB, unit looks good still.
