Last decent day in DC before a cold front hit, we’re supposed to be in the negative by the weekend so took this chance to install TKO sliders on the LX. Easy install and look/feel beefy enough to withstand other mall crawlers from opening up their doors into mine.

Looks awesome! Is that specifically the Kickout and Dimple Down option?

Yes it is, I get stuff from on top
Of the roof rack often so that kickout acts as a step. I’ve got victory 4x4 roof rack on the way and this rig should be ready for family adventure into the backwoods.

TKO said their lead time was 3-4 weeks but I received the sliders 9 days after ordering. Victory 4x4 said lead time was 1-2 weeks but haven’t heard back from them yet, it’s been 2 weeks.

Hello LX owners. I recently ordered all new window molding trim pieces and decided to stray from the (2015) LX stainless ones and ordered the LC200 all black ones. They look good (definitely not as stout) but the ones for the rear on the LX are slightly different. The LX version has a small hole in the end facing the front door that allows a small push pin (plastic shape) that holds the end of the door rubber to that piece. Anyone familiar with this tiny black plastic push-pin piece? I’ll try and get some pictures. I’m thinking it only comes with the molding for the Lexus, since the LC doesn’t have the hole. 🤷🏻‍♂️

My buddy and I spent a lot of time measuring, cutting, installing the bumper, re measuring, re cutting, but im so stoked that we took the time to make the perfect cuts! Thanks to @FerrisBueller the excellent write up and measurements and to @turbo8 for the beautiful bumper. The LC looks so much better with the booty chopped. Time to cut the mud flaps next

The LC doesn't have that exterior rubber seal so they go without a hole. Drill a small hole or just cut the tip of the seal off.

Yes, that’s correct and I’m planning to drill the hole, but I need the replacement clip. Can’t find its number, if it’s a separate part. I’m looking for both sides (rear).

@mfeferman I don't see anything obvious in the parts diagrams..

Had Matte PPF installed. Waiting for side decals to complete project. Not 100% pleased with then outcome and how it was installed but it will serve it purpose of protecting the paint.
Would you mind sharing details?
Which product?
Rough cost?
Did you need and have paint correction done before wrapping?
What don’t you like about it?

I wrapped my 100 series and my SL class before, after a year the wrap looks horrible and when i took it off, almost ruined the paint. I don't recommend it these days unless you got a hooptie.

I’m no expert but the research I did showed that PPF has really surpassed traditional vinyl wrap in terms of color, protection, and ease of removal. It also costs more. I got multiply quotes for STEK and Xpel PPF in the 8-10k range.
