What have you done to your 200 Series this week?

Finished up a bunch of things I ordered right after picking it up in early Nov. Changed the idler pulley/tensioner/belt earlier this week. Switched to 5w40. Removed rear video screens and installed the Victory4x4 covers.

New piano black steering wheel from eBay to replace the haggard-looking stock one. Fatter grip than stock, heat isn't great but it's still there, pretty happy for the ~$300 I paid.

Paint matched the grille and most of the chrome to see how it looked using HyperDip, will probably take it all off and take it a shop for paint whenever this stuff starts peeling off. Still need to re-install the fog trim, oops.

Installed stock weight Bilstein rear coils to match the front lift. I have Kings in front (22" hub to fender) and the Bilstein coils with Dobinsons MRRs in back (22.5" hub to fender). Mostly happy with things, tho I do wish there was a coil that was just slightly stiffer, but I'm gonna add airbags in the spring and hope it helps with the wallow. 275/70/18s with 1.5 spacers....and I already wish I went with 295s lol.

Nice! That grille looks awesome.

Changed the oil and lowered the tailgate for the first time ….

After much frustration I finally got the tailgate open after way too long. It’s never opened since purchase due to hitting the arb bumper cosmetic filler piece that does nothing but collect moisture a promote rust all while in this instance preventing opening the tailgate. 🙄

Wish I would have started with just the aluminum plate removal. But as project creep would have it I now have 1 broken bolt, 2 recently liberated frame nuts, and both anchor tabs spinning freely.

To be continued….

Nice! I would do the screen delete on mine but I think my kids would riot. The screens do come in handy to entertain the kiddos on long road trips.

So the shopping list has begun to be filled even though the car won't be here for another month or so... these threads can be addictive and depending on the Forum (like the Porsche one) can be damn ruining. Haven’t done much, but did install new Michelin Defender LTX M/S2’s. Stayed with the stock size, 275/50/21. They ride really nice and are quiet.

I don't want to be "that guy," but IMHO there is a lot wrong with your choices here for use on a 2021 LC200.

Those wheels are 18" and only available in either a +12 or -12 offset. Even if you did select the +12 offset, they will poke out 48mm (almost 2 inches) more than stock wheels and will adversely affect the scrub radius (more or less depending on tire diameter). Further, they are only load rated at 2500 pounds - the Load Limit on stock tires is 2512 pounds. You are right at the limit with those wheels. Finally, the stock 18" wheels that come on your LC200 are better than these in all respects, IMHO.

I would strongly suggest using OEM Denso/Pacific Industries TPMS sensors. The ones you have selected are an unknown quality, and may present unforeseen problems when trying to program them into your TPMS system.

Those lug nuts should go away with the wheels.

The Launch tool looks OK and should come in handy for multiple uses.

Finally, I am at a loss of how you plan to use those extended valve stems with any TPMS sensor - unless you are planning on drilling an additional mounting hole in whatever wheels you wind up buying. Even then, I would not recommend it.

Just trying to help you buy reasonable quality up front and not have to learn the hard way.

The lug nuts were specified to fit the rims. The rims are +12 offset and specified to work on the LS200s. I'll see about returning the tpms's based on your suggestion. Thank you

Sorry LC... and the car is currently on 18" rims. As to the stems they were recommended by the same folks who sold the rims for the LC.

Just be sure to do some research on that offset because @gaijin is correct in that they will stick out quite a bit. Unless that’s what you’re looking for.

Just sent them an email on the matter. Thank you all for your guidance as this is my first rodeo on a Toyota. They will be on my winter Nokian tires.

+12 is a TON... and honestly, if you're buying wheels, you may as well go for 17"s.

But hey, if you're bound and determined to go with 18's, just buy my complete set of Heritage Edition bronzes, currently shod with 265/70R18 Firestone A/T2's!

Solid evidence they care more about selling you junk than they do a proper setup. Or more likely, they don’t know what they are talking about.

Either would be a red flag.

I'm not determined to go with 18s it's what the car has currently.

So would these TPMS sensors be more appropriate?

I wonder if +12mm would start feeling darty…
Well... here's what the +12 wheels look like compared to stock wheels when both have stock size tires:

Scrub radius goes quite a bit positive - certainly not ideal.

Also, fender clearance goes to less than zero - oops!

My take is that the wheels proposed by @siberian are not suitable.

Surprised to see so much talk about +12 offset with so many running even lower 0 offset.

Also, so many good looking wheels in LC bolt pattern being only available in 0 offset, like Nomad Sahara.

Lets be realistic, most will never flex their rigs enough to even come close to the fenders. Costco speedbumps are not that large.
