in love with you 100! i wish i could find a ladder to work on my kaymar bumper like thisBeen away for a while. Had/have a few medical things to tend to, but I'm slowly getting back at it, and it feels great to be back! Installed Slee's rear bumper last night. I did it solo, and my back hates me today. I thought peach beer was appropriate.

Can you take a pic of the snorkel from the passenger side (or just tell me)? It looks like mine which is a Safari with a fairly small lower portion. The others I've seen have a long horizontal lower area of the base.
It has the long section. Ebay special.

Spent some time this winter getting things under the hood sorted out:
Oil pump
Oil pan gaskets
Timing belt/tensioners
Water pump
Alternator
Drive belt
Front main seal
Fan clutch
Steering rack/rod ends
Coolant hoses
Drive belt/tensioners/idler
While I was in there I added my dual battery, ome heavy all around and the thin TJM skids.
This was a lot bigger project than I thought I would be. I glad everything is new though. I went Aisin on 75% of it from rock auto. Rolled the dice on a reman steering rack.

I've been wondering if pan was easily removable in place or better to just pull engine out to get at. If you were do again, would you pull the engine or do in place again?
What all did you pull off to get out of the way, to pull the pan?
Well, oil pan was not in the plan until I stripped a hole in the oil pump (even with a torque wrench). I had the steering rack out and dropped the diff about 4”.
It’s important to note that there are 2 “pans”. One it the traditional stamped pan on the bottom. The other is an aluminum “wall” that bolts to the bottom of the block. There was a perfect angle/twist move that had to be done going in and out that took me several minutes each way to figure out.
Oh that's why you pulled the pan, I was wounding as I've never seen one leak.
I see you've removed the #3 cross-member, drop the front diff 4". Do you feel the steering rack had to be removed or could you have left it in place?
Now that you've experience pulling the pan(s). Do think it could be done with only removing #3 cross-member, disconnecting engine mounts and then raising engine a few inches?
what radiator did you go with? what else did you change when you did this job? looking at doing my radiator also just want to get as much as i can done while im in there thanks so muchAbsolutely- The new radiator is sitting in my shop waiting its turn.

Today was spark plugs, air filter, and new coil packs. While in there i did MAF and throttle body cleanings.

what roof rack is this?Picked up some ARB knockoffs from Amazon. Build quality is really good. All stainless nuts/bolts/brackets. Haven't powered them up yet, so can't comment on the brightness, throw, or beam pattern.
Nilight 185W 9" LED Lights
Just mocked up for now to figure out how mount them. Probably going to have to fabricate some kind of glare shield for the bottom side of the lights.
