 My wife says I'm crazy. I think she is for letting me get away with it but either way I added a 4th LC to my club / collection (the wife now says no more searching craigslist). I promise the newest one is only temporary. It needs a head gasket replaced, then it will find its way to another owner. After that I will get more serious about parting out my parts truck leaving me with only two Cruisers. :( I was going to sell the black on as well but the wife likes it, so its her new DD and I get to keep our original white one (with light bar in bumper) as my DD / project truck / adventure rig. After selling two trucks I should have a decent cushion in my toy fund to add some goodies on my DD! Either way my buddies think I'm trying to start a Toyota dealership in my driveway.

I need one of those white ones!

I bought a new gasket and have yet to install it. Hows that tape holding up at freeway speeds and with rain, if any? Ive used painters tape and hate the blue tape look on car, however its held up well at freeway speeds, crosswinds and rain.

The vinyl didn't hold up as well as I had hoped. Stripped it off and used some plasti-dip to seal it up for now until the new gasket arrives. Should be here Thursday. The plastic-dip holds up great and was easy. Taped it off, sprayed and peeled the tape back. Cut the plasti-dip with a plastic razor blade so as to not damage the paint. Completely waterproof! Left a few vinyl remnants on the glass for now haha.

Might just do that since I have a can leftover... the painters tape is starting to peel up. I think mostly due to rain, water evaporation if it got in, and sunshine. Rinse and repeat.

I tried painter's tape and it lasted about 30 minutes in the cold/rain/snow. We got a lot of heavy snow last night/today and the Plasti-dip is holding up great! No leaks whatsoever. I would highly suggest getting a plastic razor blade because it won't harm the paint but will cut the plasti-dip where it meets the tape you used to mask it off with. I used this one...
