Never mind the trim, tell us about the twin Porsches!

Replaced the fuel filter at 178,000 and picked up new tires for the LC: Bf Goodrich AT KO2 by Oakleyguy posted Nov 7, 2015 at 6:14 PM[/GALLERY]

Looks good! Bought the same tires. Should be here sometime next week. I am excited lol

I pulled the stock radio out of my 04 and attempted to set up this phone interface. I bought it off amazon for $20 or so, but my jbl with nav doesn't recognize it in the "disc" input.

So I put the radio back together and didn't get anywhere. I attempted the cheap route, but probably need to spend the money on something a bit better that actually works. Still searching.

Replaced the starter last weekend. 3.5 hours total time. The old one was a Toyota remanufactured one, same exact part as I bought from amy local yota' dealer. I hope the new one lasts more than 3 years!

Thought I was having battery issues at first and enen tried a new starter relay. It's worth it to put good parts in it since I plan to hand it down to my son in another 15 years.

KAWELL 18w LED's.

They each only pull 1.5 amps so for now they are just wired (with a switch and fuse) to the rear +12v for the cigarette lighter until I get all the wiring for the Aux battery sorted out.

.... you know what works really well. Taking pictures at night of high output lights with a phone camera.

Gave the 100 a good 1 stage polish/wax and vacuum. I used Meguiars 205 and while I wish I'd had time to use 105 first to really polish, that just wasn't the case. Still some swirling going on, and my hood is far from perfect, but not bad for a quick job.

I know I know, it needs to be dirty, not clean, but I usually try to put something on that's going to protect the paint from all the crap that winter dishes out.

This picture after just 1 pass with Meg's 205:

jealous of both of the 100's in your driveway. Meg's give a Nice reflection !

Well that silver one is my parents so don't be too jealous! I found it for them after I got mine, had 71k on it and was in pretty mint condition. However, mine has 150k on it and has a much cleaner under body, which I'll take any day of the week over some minor paint imperfections.

I've used Meg's for a while and I think they're hard to beat for the cost. I've seen these new ceramic coatings/sealants that are supposed to last forever and are used in place of standard waxes, but I can't justify the cost just yet as the rig needs a few touch-ups here and there. Meg's Carnuba a few times a year will have to do it for now.

For those ever on the fence about DIY'in with a DA polisher, just go for it. I'm a rookie and I'm always impressed with the outcome, not once have I caused any damage to the paint.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking about getting griots garage 6" whole kit for $300ish. It comes with everything I would need and a dvd lol. I figure once I use it a few times I can piece my own stuff together based on experience but at first I'll just get the whole kit.

I have the 6' Griot's DA and it's served me well. I have used some of their polishes/compounds but for whatever reason I've used Meguiar's now for these last few years. I believe they make pretty good stuff and for $300 it's pretty hard to beat. Just make sure you get plenty of pads, you'd be surprised how dirty they can get and you can only wash them so many times.

You don't really need the DVD! I can't emphasize enough how easy these things are to operate. Just a basic up/down then side to side "cross hatch" pattern and wipe off. Higher speed for polish, low speed for wax application.

Had 295/75r16 ko2's installed today and an alignment done.

Nice. So they are finally available.
Yes. I was not impressed with how much weight a few of them took to balance.... at all. But I do like how they drive, and no issues with driving so far up to 65/70 on the highway.

They look beefy and really seem to fill the wheel wells too..... Is that a stock suspension?

New rear brakes (calipers, rotors, pads).

30mm spacers out back and stock torsion bars cranked up front a little bit. Then I have re-valved fox 2.0's. They're definitely beefy, uca/knuckle clearance is roughly .5" at ride height and about .25" clearance at full droop.
