Finally got around to finishing the instal. Multiple trips to O’Rileys, Home Depo, and Advance Auto along with an over a week wait for the CH4x4 switch to come in. Thanks to this community, YouTube and Torfab.

Brakes wnet out on the wife while I was out of town. Not good. She was coming home from the neighbors down their steep drive way - she made a good save and went up onto the bank and was able to stop (low gear, parking brake).
Sooo... Rear brake job last weekend.
Looked like 2/3 of the pad broke off and fell out causing the piston to become cockeyed and leak out all the brake fluid.
Replaced rotors, pads, one caliper, and made up new lines with copper nickel tubing as they were a little crusty.
Dealer did full last service: a) reversed caliper pins on one side b) had two upper pins on other side (how did they manage to do this) c) added some extra washers to brake shoe hold down spring, and d) oh, because you bent the pin. Seriously!!

low range TC gears installed!! Did it with the TC still in the truck so a lot of ground work that was not fun. Tested and all working properly so I'm super happy. Real test in a couple weeks on some hard trails.

I am very interested in replacing my ignition lock pin… As preventative measure

I tried to open your link, but it takes you nowhere.
Updated the post:

See video

Replaced the worn out shocks, sway bar bushings and end links. Rides so much better already.

My wagon putting on duty as a work bench

While the wheels were off I painted them black with Dupli-color Flat Black Enamel.

Also noticed how much my driver side steering rack boot and CV axle's been leaking...that's next on my list to do after Diff bushings which should arrive next week...a faint wuh wuh wuh sound starting a few weeks ago, that I can only hear when l let off the gas..when I get back on it seems to go silent, I'm hoping the diff bushings and new cv axles will fix it.

Installed the almost free UCA I got last week in a bag of goodies from a Craigslist hunt

The old one was squeaky and clunky

Also replaced the rest of the diff supports.
Did the front puck several months ago but finally had some extra time to do the other 2 brackets

One was off center and cracked..

The passenger side one could have gone another 250k miles no issues.

Got my Prinsu roof rack installed yesterday with the help of my 13 year old. I was excited that he chose to help over playing Far Cry.

I'm curious to read other people's installation reports though and see if it's common to need to remove the full roof channel trim. I knew I was going from two mounting points to three, but didn't expect that the stock rack's front mount would be relocated to an unused mounting location. Now to go search...

is anyone interested in joining a group buy for RCV Axles?View attachment 3756276

I had some RCVs on my Long Travel Tacoma. Those orange boots from RCV suck big time. Seen those silicone boots tear all the time from other people who had them, and I had to reboot once every 2 months myself. I guess the argument is that folks rather see the CV break, rather than the differential. I did wheel with a little more confidence in terms of using the front locker, but dunno....
