For whomever who wants to pick up around Cupertino, CA:
Full spare tire carrier with tools.
Will keep it one week, then it goes to the local Toyota Junk Yard.

Same goes for one stock wheel (tire has seen it’s best times ;-)h

I’m in the same boat, hesitant on attempting this. I saw a service on EBay can do it for 260.00 just have to ship it out to them. How hard is it for a YouTube mechanic?
I personally did not find it that difficult. I purchased a “desoldering” iron and it worked amazing. I practiced desoldering and soldering on an old junk board. Then it took about 15 min to make the solder repair. If you attempt be careful when taking the modules apart. “Fidgety”

Put on the winter tires. Market Place - almost new Tundra wheels with Firestone Winter Force LT - the buy bought a new Tundra (new bolt pattern).

Took it for an alignment. Got a call from the shop half hour after dropping it off (never good!). Ran back... inner tie rods loose (just a little) and left lower ball joint had quite a bit of play. Slightly disappointing as I replaced them just over 2 years (75,000 km) ago with AC Delco Gold (re-boxed 555's SUS43340).

replaced rear shocks and adjusted torsion bars back up to stock height. Rear shocks were a little bit of a pain but not as bad as I was expecting for 20year old hardware. The bushings weren’t near as bad as the fronts. I wonder if these have been replaced before. No notes in the previous owners records.

How are you liking the ko3’s ? Any chance you previously owned ko2’s? Definitely look better dusty 😎
I love them. Perfect for the combo of daily and off road driving that I do. I did not own the KO3s before. PO had some bridgestone something or others that were really old, so I upgraded. I got 285/75/16 since those are the biggest you can fit without a lift, and I don't plan on lifting it.

I didn't do it; Stellar Built in Sacramento did it. :) Dissent front & rear bumpers, Come Up 12.5k winch, swing out tire carrier with a new Method 701 and KO2, and full Dissent under armor. I already did the wiper fluid relocation but have some cleanup and painting to finish it up...hopefully will get that done next weekend.

awesome. Mind sharing the cost for this? I've been thinking about armor underneath and a winch for mine.

Basics! Just picked her up recently so starting on a baseline while the weather's still decent.

Oil change and thorough clean of PS canister (was black and caked with muck) and new ATF. I ran a carfax when I got her home and a flush was done around 8k miles ago so fluid still looked pretty good, but worth the peace of mind.
