Installed new Element extinguisher mounts from Solvefunction on eBay. (Edit, not eBay—Etsy) So secure—really like them.

To the horror of many, I removed my fading "wood" trim... and replaced it with new "wood" trim!

I'm pretty satisfied with the results. We'll see how it ages. If this stuff fails fast, I'm simply tearing it off and sticking with the plastic.

I'm in the same club as you- despite it not being popular, I've always liked the wood trim- even the fake stuff. Must be nostalgia for classically-90's style. The new stuff looks good!

Cleaned out the blower motor yesterday. Now the HVAC is whisper quiet again.

Top tip: the $99 MSRP Dewalt air compressor which can run on 12V, 110V, or 20V battery also operates as a mini-blower. Perfect to blow out all of the junk that sits up against the evaporator core and out of the air path.

I think it looks good! where did you get the kit from? half of mine is delaminated

Got all the door speakers replaced with JBL clubs, they sound pretty good.
A pillar tweeters seem ok and not sure if i'm going to screw something up trying to figure out how to use a crossover. if anyone knows a good plug and play option that would be great!
Was going to do the Pyle subwoofer but sitting in the back cargo area it seems pretty normal so i'm gonna pass on that drama for now.
Replaced all interior lights with Superbright LEDs except the vanities, I forgot those.
Broke one bulb harness for the license plate lights, went a bit too gorilla on it during removal. Those lenses are really dusty and not real obvious how to clean 'em. Replaced the front hood headlight molding.
As I was doing that, the truck tried it's to eat me, the hood came crashing down. Lifted it back up and got to enjoy the sight of the left support strut gushing out its' load of hydraulic fluid.
Put the super exciting new map DVD in, mine was 2003. Still pretty hideous, I know there was no graphical update but oh well.
Removed the cargo area seats, double bagged and taped them up, said goodbye and stuck them in the garage.
Weathertechs put in, too bad Husky's website said they didn't have a fit for a 2006 LC. The WeatherTechs seems thin and flimsy and don't really do a great job of completely filling the rear cargo area, but are ok for the fronts and middle row.
Still obsessing on removing those hideous fender flares!!
I think I'm falling in love 🤩

I think you will like it more when you finally remove those flares and the 100 series curves finally come out.

Had a slower week. Replaced the broken radio antenna, old PCV valve, gasket and tubing, some other vacuum tubing connected to the charcoal canister, and the 2x rubber mounts for the piping running over the radiator. Also found that the weird thing on my spark plug appears to be the top of the time-sert that must have been installed and broken off.

The antenna replacement was significantly easier than I thought it would be. Almost lost part of the gasket for the PCV in the crankcase since it was rock solid and broke apart. Luckily a quick suck with the vacuum and it came right out.

Also found that my HVAC system seems to have a door for a filter (but of course no filter is installed so the coil is dirty) and I think this means I can install a filter. Still need to do more reading to confirm.
