Where is the best place for heater T's? Dealer or parts store? Is there more than one to replace? Got a link to a thread?

I appreciate any info.

Installed the headlights sprayers on the custom front bumper.

... after the sprayers went further installing the Kings 8.5 in laser driving lights. I'm now on higher ground, believe me....

Please never, EVER use these when there is any chance of getting the light directly in anyone's eye at night. As a laser researcher and developer/builder of high power lasers, this stuff REALLY worries me. Although the spot size is not small, the aversion reaction to the light will instinctively take place in the other person.

Even your picture shows saturation of the focal plane array, perhaps damaging it. Imagine that being your retina.

Looks good. Those ARBs are not fun to install. Took me the better part of a day.

And mine sits slightly crooked which is annoying :(
I don’t have the ARB, but wanted to share something from my TJM install. The PO of my LX 470 apparently slid into something (or bumped a bollard, or...) and warped/bent the mounting points at the end of the frame rails. Since the damage was more or less symmetrical, it was somewhat difficult to determine that something was awry. But had I not figured this out, my bumper would also have hung “slightly crooked.” You might have a similar issue?

Old seats are getting tired

Installed new SOR tuff duck seat covers. I had these on my 80 and loved the quality and fitment. Install was simple and they fit great.

Also installed a RAM mount for my phone:

Any review on the seat covers? Trying to decide between these and the escape gear set?

I've been doing a lot of little stuff over the last couple of weeks:
  • Added Eclipse Sunshades to the windshield. We have these in our campervan, and they're great for sleeping in the rig.
  • Paid to have a whole suite of maintenance work done: brakes, coolant, power steering, diffs, fuel injectors, & oil change... baseline stuff
  • Added a bunch of gear: tire deflators, misc tools, traction matts, and some organizational bits like a tool roll.
  • Reconfigured the fridge attachment points.
  • Got my license plates
  • Removed a couple more stickers
  • Sanded down and re-painted the jerrycan carriers to get rid of surface rust (did a lazy job masking)
  • Added a new Prospeed rack

Still on the short list:
  • Additional lights
  • Reinstall solar
  • Mount gear on roof rack
The fun starts in a couple of weeks with a trip to the Steens and Alvord Desert.

My Brother in law picked up what appears to be a unicorn. Needs a little baselining but other than that it looks new inside. Not "kept in great shape" new but like "never been driven" new. I'm supremely jealous. He's got about $2k to throw at it and other than a timing belt, etc. service, and fixing the flaking chrome wheels, what should he do? This is a grocery getting, kid toting mall cruiser for my sister. Though she is a bourbon chugging, ass-kicking ex-cop, she really just wants a forever-cruiser. Let the flaming begin...

That's it! He spent the $2k with timing and baselining.

Refinished my sliders today, and started installing my Asfir skids.

I'll bring my truck over, it should be easy to install a 2nd set of asfir skids and sliders, no? 😎

Thanks yours albeit that's a hazard I'm aware of. However the "laser" term is just pure marketing as actually there's just a bigger (power included but assume in reasonable limit) LED with a lens in the middle. Don't ask about the wavelength as have no idea.
The spot is of about 15 cm at 4m distance. The apparent saturation might also be caused by the angle the sensor was related to the light source.
Once again, thanks yours! 👍🏻

I didn't do it but someone else tinted! Lots of options in San Diego but did some research on tint brands and went with Lumar IRX, 30 percent on front 2 windows, 50 percent on rear windows (over the factory tint) and 50 percent on windshield. The windshield looks lighter in person and is not dark when inside, however, I may have preferred the 80.
