Wiring 99% tidied 75% tested. The rest will need to be done in place to verify correct length wiring.

Next project will be rebuild the carb I cleaned last week.

Today I’m going to order a new intake/ exhaust manifold gasket to install before I put the carb back on. You can see where the old paper gasket has been leaking.

New intake/ exhaust manifold gasket. Carb rebuild. Cleaned everything that was removed. Removed brake lines in prep for new.

Tons of parts ordered. Hopefully going back together soon. I have a customer project that needs the garage space so I at least need the 40 to get out together enough to do that soon. I have a small Trip at the end of July that is my goal to get the 40 road worthy for.

Some hydraulics work this am. Jt outfitters kits.

I’m not crazy about the clutch line that’s 18” too long. However better than to short.

I ordered a new fuel tank from Toyota, it arrived yesterday and I guess either I told him the wrong part number or the internet lied. So I get to return it and order the correct one today.

I don’t have them on my site but I make new clutch plumbing kits with stainless hard line and OEM hose that uses the original tab on the firewall.

I also have correct fuel tanks in stock 😁

Some mild progress. New clutch/ pressure plate, trans reinstalled, fuel tank installed and plumbed.

Scheduled for exhaust july 10th so it needs to be at least to the point of will move itself around and load on the trailer by then. It might not be road worthy then but hopefully can at least get that step Going.

Funny almost 5 months later and little to no progress.

40 didn’t get touched for 3+ months, has sat inside a month without being worked on. Kids play in it quite often.

Last two weeks have been decent progress.

Got my 4” HFS lift springs installed with new bushings, started the knuckle rebuild.

Cleaning up the knuckles as we all know is the real time consumer. I had dreams of wire wheeling axles and making them super pretty with black paint, however I’ve just decided clean and old will be the ticket for now. Blended with the new and fresh.

Sold my KM3 I had for it, mounted up some 10+ year old ones I had for visual and to get the 33-12.5s off of it.

Ordered Some Maxxis Razr MT from my supplier, I wanted to run so thing I am a official dealer of. Toyo Mt wasn’t available. I loved the Maxxis on my 100.

Maybe by next spring I can drive it to work, no rush on this one.

Looking great, nice work.

I did my last one by hand and then midway through, I remembered the spatula trick.

I have another coming up, all the spatula this time.

It’s been a while since an update. I haven’t made huge progress but I have made some.

Finished up the knuckle jobs, ran brake lines to the front, tidied up some more wiring. Just little things here and there. Got the tires mounted up.
Pulled the top off yesterday, pulled the aftermarket roll bar, re skinned one jump seat (bottom needs redone and foam added). Got the windshield hinge replaced.

It’s Just time. Money. And effort..
