First place to look when you come to a stop on a motorcycle is those rear view mirrors. They got me once.

After lunch Saturday we rolled into SMORR and bought some stickers.
Cruised around the camp area until we found all the cruisers. Oddly enough basically everyone was in camp. Met glen and a few other TAC guys. Chatted for the afternoon.
About 3:00 everyone dispersed to go get on some trails. We followed the easy crowd which consisted of 3 80 series, a wide Tacoma, a 100, and myself in the 40.
We had been on trail for approx 1.5 hours when I discovered something. I had been very unimpressed with the 40 handling all the lllse rock, in both braking and crawling. It would slide down hills with the tires sliding, it would spin on any sort of climb. At one point I had to back up and get a pretty hard run at a line to make it. I made it and to the top of the hill.
That’s when I discovered I was in 2LO not 4 4LO.. dumb ass me.
Pulled it down in 4 low and it was a different animal, although we were basically done for the day.
The climb out of this little bottom is rough and steep. 4LO walked it. The LS never stumbled.
Get to the top off the hill where the road clears up and Carson was ready to drive. He turns 12 in February and has decided we are going to build his 62 Chevy for his first truck.

How did the others feel when you told them you did the whole trail in 2nd? Or did you keep that oops to yourself ?

That happed when I was trail leading at SAS, someone didn’t lock hubs when using 4LO.
Looks fun and hope to make it there next year
