After about 8 years of ownership finally have a functioning rear (never needed) locker. Picked up an extra rear locked axle housing last year for spare parts. One year ago I dismantled the locker actuator to check its condition which was great. Finally found time this past week to swap it in. Dug into the original actuator to learn that its guts are badly corroded, the shaft of the gear mechanism is stuck to the actuator cover. Wonder why the original would not function ? I think I should be able to repair it once I have separated the cover from the gear shaft.

Mine wasn't working correctly.. the armature/wormgear shaft wouldn't spin when the motor cover was installed. Turns out I had to loosen the allen key plug on the other end of the shaft slightly. Then it worked great.

The oring grooves were corroded as well, I ended up using RTV for the time being.

Went to the lake

And cut off the driver's side rocker panel

Since the truck hasn't showed up to take Marjan away, yet, I called Toyota of Des Moines and shockingly, they had a speedometer sensor o-ring on hand. I drove the 45 minutes there, paid for it, put it on in the parking lot and drove the 45 minutes home. "maybe" a 3 minute fix, total, including figuring out how the slot, and retention plate works.

Now am sitting looking out my window in the rain, waiting for this verdammt car carrier to show up...

The truck finally showed up.

Max Borisov, from Siberia, expertly backed Marjan up on the trailer at a brisk rate of speed. Dude could drive a little bit. Impressed me with his competence and professionalism.

Still, I was unexpectedly moved as he drove away with My Landcruiser on the back.View attachment 1103393 View attachment 1103394

What?! No enclosed trailer?!?!

Wow the lakes you guys went to were way cooler than the one I went to. I went to Silverwood lake... it sucked. 1000s of humans jam packed on the sand leaving trash (most of them it seems). I'm not much of a lake person so I had no idea what to expect. I was scared of swamp monsters.

I dressed up my Ron Davis radiator. I like the fact that you can retain the factory Toyota cap. It's held on by two set screws. Not bad for 8 bucks!

@NLXTACY : Do YOU have one of these? If not, you're missing out! More bling for you! It's even for the RD radiator!!!

EDIT: I posted before I saw your reply!! HAHAHAHA!
