What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend?

There are a lot of variables involved. My current goal is to try to keep an OEM style setup (FJ gauge cluster, shifter, etc) using the donor LS harness & PCM.

My parts list is already at $7K (drivetrain included) and could easily hit $10K. A built engine or standalone ECU, harness, and conversion boxes could quickly add more.

I'm hoping to keep costs down using what parts I can source from the donor car, lower cost spare parts from friends, online sales, etc.
Thanks for the information.... man everything has gotten so expensive

Cruisers and Co doing all the work. 3" from the front to the back to help boost faster under load and then to dyno it. Can't wait to see the #s.

I hopeing to keep mine to about 4k-5k net after selling off all the parts that are coming out. key words are hope, prolly going to be more like 6500 once I get it back on the road and reliable

Took Nemo deeeeep into the Oregon desert on another bird hunt. Roughly 2.5 hours of horrendous roads led to here. No other rigs around, save a few SxS's on the way in.

The guage cluster is a simple 2 minute fix with a micro fiber towel and Maguire’s PlastiX. Polish. If you really want to make it immaculate find a Dremel Scrubber. It’s the ideal RPMs to do plastic polishing on clear lenses and turn signals, etc.
Thanks for the Dremel Scrubber hint. I picked one up and used it to polish the headlights on my Xterra. It worked great. The job took about five minutes and the lenses look almost like new.

Installed clear turn signal lenses.
It really changed the look of the front end of the Lx.

It's been a busy October for me, upgrade to LED bulbs all around used (LASFIT) plug and play LED's seems to be good so far. Picked up ROSEN SUNVISOR SYSTEMS, they are pretty much AWESOME! Ordered a set of Victory 4X4 rear MOLLE screen, (on sale right now). Then put in an order with White Knuckle Off Road Products for so lone (69 inch) steps/ sliders, will post when they come in.

So it was worth all the extra effort....at least the dogs had fun yes?
Those poor dogs have known nothing but disappointment out of this partnership.
