Thank you for the knowledge. This is certainly a symptom of something bigger but I'll be able to dig in and figure it out once I'm home.Yes you can drive. You will get a CEL at some point. I’d cap/block the vacuum lines as you might have a vacuum leak.
You need an apprentice?Another one going together!

looks like the final bit of someone drilling through the diff or axle. Used to call them tophats at my old metal fab job.Tore the front axle down and when I drained it found this. Any ideas what this could be from inside the front diff? Looks like the tip of a bolt or rivet maybe View attachment 3620481View attachment 3620482

We do not discriminate here!looks like the final bit of someone drilling through the diff or axle. Used to call them tophats at my old metal fab job.
mystery solved. was the back of the third member stud holes coming off inside the housing. definitely tophats. oem axle thstd never been opened.Does this axle have aftermarket selectable lockers installed?
Love the steelies!I posted some pics of my ‘92 fresh out of the paint shop a couple of weeks ago. Since then I reinstalled the rack, jack, lights, and ladder. About all that’s left since paint is re-spooling and reinstalling the Warn EVO winch. I’m switching from steel to nylon rope. Will do that on the bench and stretch it after installation because with my bumper I don’t think I have working room with it mounted.
The last thing after that (for now) is the installation of a new oil pan gasket. Rear main seal was replaced not long ago. Hopefully the oil pan gasket will seal up my last drips…

How long was the wait ?? I need to do the sameGot all the 105 upgrades to rebuild my current steering box from IMPEX. Was just a little over $300 for everything including shipping.
Still tempted to just buy an entirely new box from them and then sell my old w/ these goodies...
