That one looks pretty clean.... surprised it needs rebuilt.
Blown head gasket! And the pick up tube was pretty clogged up with not sure yet?

I finally got around to removing the oil pump cover to replace the O-ring. It started on a whim as I'm replacing all the power steering parts, I thought, well, there is a lot of space open here, we can give it a shot. I fully expected to have to drill a few out, but all of them came out no issue at all. I used a #3 JIS bit in my spall impact, and started slow, letting the impact tap a bit before I really released it, and they all spun right out like it was nothing. I did however, forget to take pics. Since I'm working on it again tomorrow, I'll get some of it, and the shiny new power steering parts and post them up.

I'm super happy at the moment.
No pics...oh I see. So it didn't really happen then 😜 Nice try. 😃

The throttle to pedal cable or the throttle to transmission cable? After trying to adjust mine I think I might be in need of the latter or both
From the pedal, both of my old cables were at their max adjustment, I will be doing the other cable too at some point.

What's the total suspension setup then? Looks like Dobinson stuff? Liking the way it sits
Originally 2.5" front, 3" rear. So it's pretty close to level now with just a slight rake. I like how it sits too

I drove it home!

I’ve owned this ‘96 as a project for almost two years. Super cheap with a hole in the block. Long term intention is still to throw an LS in it, but when a 177k mile wreck popped up in Dallas, I decided to get “Eva” on the road. The donor wreck happened 12-13 years ago, so this engine has been sitting all that time. It sounds amazing anyway. Couple quick oil changes soon I think.
