I love how half the front bars in AUS just look like someone stole a gate from a ranch and welded it to the front. And don't even get me started on that pizza :flipoff2:
That bar won't stay all that long :flipoff2:

EDIT: strongly considering this bar instead, it's called the roo grader mark 3 :flipoff2:

I love those aluminum Roo bars like that!

It would probably cost a fortune to get it here though........

Wheel maintenance. New hardware and cleaned the beads up. 32 bolts in a star pattern. 3 times around. That’s before final torque.

Installed the Masts R'us antenna. Some folks were having a harder time than others (including myself), so did a quick write up w/ pictures of my process.

Flew into Sydney, brought an 80 and road tripped it home with @AussieHJCruza
Best wood fired pizza we ever had, some rums and beats and life was as good as it gets. I'll start a build thread one of these days.

Nice! I had some awesome pizza a few times in Sydney when I was there. No idea where it was from, been to long. Matter of fact though, I don’t think I had a single bad meal the six weeks I was in Oz.

Captain though!? I thought you guys were all about the Bundy!? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Cheers

Yeah, Aus has some awesome food and beverage places. Much prefer to put money back into the smaller local places than McDonald's or KFC for example.

It was captains or Bundy original, I drink Bundy just not the original 😆🍻

Played with my lights.

Replaced my old battery. And finally found the source of the rattle I hear over every single imperfection in the road that was causing me to go insane. Any ideas?

So when I bought the LX450, it had a big thick black leather cover on the steering wheel, and I always hated it. I took it off a few weeks ago, and finally got around to wrapping the stock wheel in paracord. I’m hilariously inept with knots, but finally figured this out consistently about halfway across the top of the wheel, hahaha. Turned out well, and I’m pleased!

I also recently put together a screw down solution for my traction boards on the roof rack, for under $20, by pinching a few base nuts narrow enough to slide into the grooves , and then screw down into them with longer plastic-topped posts. So nothing sticks up more than about a cm when it isn’t on there. Has so far held on the highway!

One of these weekends I need to get up the courage to really cut into the tailgate to do AlohaJen’s storage solution. I’ve already pulled the carpet, drawn the cutouts, and acquired the hardware. I just need to see if my 18v cordless jig saw is up to the task of actually cutting the sheet metal... it’s intimidating.

Ah, you are an OP guy then. 😆

Met a guy in Oz who had me drinking the OP, he called himself Tiny but he wasn’t Tiny at all. About 6ft6” and 350lbs. He had a sweet Hilux, we went wheeling in Toowoomba.

Cheers

I used a grinder and was done in 20 min with the cuts. Easy money!

Yea just do it. After the first cut there is no going back. I also used an angle grinder. You said youve already traced the outline. Your halfway done.
