Have you ever cleaned and applied leather conditioner? Either way 4 years is early for deterioration.

Yep, all the time...my interior is cherry, super clean, always garaged.

FJ80 mechanical noob question. I’m about to have 30mm spring spacers installed in the front on my 97 FJ80 and I’m trying to figure out which of these two parts below I need to use. They both fit the FJ80 and they may both work, but I think I need to use the spring spacers, not the spring isolaters. Is that right? Does it matter? Are they the same? Thanks for any help anyone can provide!

Looks like the same thing, two different manufacturers.

Check out Cruiser Outfitters as well cruiserteq.com

The poly bushing will wear out buy the metal tech ones that are made from nice rigid steel.

Not much going on lately, but took a spin in the local creekbed.

That looks nice and a great place to be.
For me Two Harbors was not a nice place to be. Being there meant loading iron ore on the boat. about 65,000 tons of it.

Replaced the front pinion oil seal. Stopped the leak there!
Sadly, the third member to axle housing paper gasket leaks too. The paper gasket has broken and is poking up at the top of the third. Boooo!
Gonna clean and apply some shmutz to hopefully stop the oil leak for now.
Only way to really fix that leak is taking the front axle guts and third out and reseal.

Can see a bit of paper sticking out up top.

Sorry to hijack the thread but, not sure where else it my catch someone's eye.

Heater hose leak , repair shop suggestions?
Apologies for the 'Caps'- i was sending a message via a 'contact me' page and they capitalized all the letters, and too lazy to rewrite it.

AFTER SPENDING THE LAST WEEK IN CRUISING OREGON COAST AND NOW CENTRAL OREGON MY LX450 CRUISER HAS SPRUNG A LEAK. I'M IN SISTERS OR. HEADING BACK HOME TO SF AND FOUND THAT ONE OF THE MOST DIFFICULT SMALL HEATER HOSES IS LEAKING?(NOT COMPLETELY BLOWN, BUT A STEADY drip LEAK). I TRIED TO FIX IT BUT DON'T HAVE THE RIGH TOOLS TO GET IN THERE AND REMOVE THE CLAMPS AND REPLACE THE HOSE. ANY SUGGESTED ON WHERE I MAY BE ABLE TO GET THIS FIXED ON A SATURDAY IN BEND OR NEAR BY. THE TWO LOCAL GARAGES HERE ARE CLOSED TOMORROW .
ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

Image attached of the hose that is leaking.
THANKS IN ADVANCE.

Pesky heater hose - PHH

what style clamps are in place currently? It is possible to replace on roadside. BTDT.
If you can get clamps off you can replace with about 6’ of heater hose going from the nipple on the block out and around the brake booster on firewall back the the heater valve.

I’d post up in the OR clubhouse to see If anyone knew a shop in bend.

central OR cruisers looks to be based out of bend. Try contacting them perhaps. I don’t see a forum page but Their website has a number and email.

Mine are about 4 years old as well and look as bad as yours. Strangely my passenger seat is worse than the drivers seat. They are so bad that i now have a set of neoprene covers over them. When i look closely at one of the tears i am no longer convinced i was sold a leather seat at all. It is so thin and looks like some kind of fabric. I guess you get what you pay for...

Likely bonded leather. Same stuff the cheapo leather sofas use

Thanks for the suggestions. I reached out to Central Oregon Landcruisers also, myabe i'll get lucky. As far as the clamps-it's the original two clamps, the 'cotter pin' style and the clip style. I got some hose and claps at the Ace in Sisters but don't feel like I get to them without maybe doing more damage.

Installed a lift to work on her and washed her up for the first time since the paint job! Thanks to @fourtrax for all the advice on the lift! 40 needed some rear end surgery so it got the first go on the lift.
