I finally cut up the hood last weekend. Ready for summer:smokin:

No, it was an unmarked (I realized it after the fact) trail off of a FSR just southeast of the town of Blue Ridge. It wasn't as steep as "the hill" we climbed off of Charlie's Creek. I'm not even sure that the steepest section was any steeper than that trail we rode south of Warwoman Rd. The issue was the slickness.

If I had called you before we started trying to get out on our own, you would have gotten there just about the time we finally got out.

Here's what I did get:

Is that a typo? You've seen my body; you already know the answer to that question. :p

It must have bee near you, the GA mountains where a mess, lots of ground shearing with the water saturation. Didn’t take much to get into this situation, had to quickly secure the rear from sliding down the hill, then pull forward.
Those hand winches....:hmm:

Not this past weekend, but over several weekdays and weekends ...

AC Drier Mod in prep for new bumper

Replaced the leaking valve cover gasket and spark plug seals ... two of them were jacked like this

New AC Compressor

4x4 Labs bumper and Warn VR10-S with wireless remote. Also picked up a Factor 55 Pro Link

No more waiting in line to air up ... purchased two 10lb CO2 cylinders from Airgas and a bunch of hardware from Powertank. Not pictured is the digital gauge with air on/off hand valve and 6ft line to the valve stem clip because I'm super lazy.

Blew a transmission line. It got into the fan and fuild was EVERYWHERE. Had the line replaced and got the engine area cleaned. Spent the next 2 days with PO0305 code until I pulled the plug boot and blew the tube out with compressed air.

Finally got out wheeling. I'm still way undersized in tires and lift compared to the others, but I will get there soon.

I try to follow another 80 when possible. VBRoamer in action. I had to take the kiddie trail to the left since I didn't have enough clearance for the larger rocks at the top.

The only pic I have of my truck from that day (I need a GoPro to mount on the guy behind me). VBRoamer is hooked to me because I was towing another truck behind me. That truck snagged a rock and pulled me sideways off my line. This is after I've corrected and getting hooked back up.

I was able to head back out the next day with a different group ... again I was the smallest tire and lowest lift. Sucks always being stubby. Weather went from 80* and sunny to 30* with wind, fog and rain. First time wheeling in the wet and it was much different. This was the only pic I got that day since nobody wanted to be out taking pics and I was white knuckling most of the time.

Sliders and armor did their job. Took a stump to the right fender, no damage but had to pry the fender out to get the pass door open.

Learned a lot, had a blast, scared myself a few times. Now I need to take some weeks for the last (hopefully) of the baseline maintenance, rebuild the front knuckles and then get on track for the new suspension, wheels and tires. I can't wait!!!

winches can be rebuilt, running PS is crazy up but scary as F down, No?
I already opened this winch up and replaced the seals, they're weren't many parts available for it last time I looked.

Yeah PS is kinda nuts. The pics really don't do it justice. To be honest it never even crossed my mine to go DOWN it.

Added Buster Brown (1982 60 series) to the family back in June and weekend before last added the 100 series. Comet is not lonely anymore but my wallet sure is.

In hindsight, I remember crossing over the main ridgeline Friday afternoon as I was heading north and thinking "Wow, it looks like they got a lot of rain up here."

Those hand winches....:hmm:

What were you using to hold your rear end in place in the photo?

What kind? How much? How difficult to install?

From #seatcoversunlimited
Came out to $218. Install was about 1/2 hour, just slip em slowly size to size. The fitment is right on, and so is the color.
Another option for not much more money is decent leather replacement covers. $299 for the front seats. That’s what I got, gonna try and get them installed in the next couple weeks.

Epic camp site.

Beautiful, but I could/would not ever overnight in that spot. I would be up all night scanning for snipers in the highlands! Funny how them instincts never leave, well, except to the wife, kids, kids boyfriends..... ok everyone including me.... it’s not funny, it sucks!
ANYWAYS...... beautiful spot! Hope you enjoyed it! Sorry for the rant.

It was an easy install, thanks to @LandCruiserPhil for the kits!
I even had my wife come out and try the step ladder to see if she could reach the fridge from the side! Good to go!

After seeing Phils truck in person, I am going to do away with the drawer idea. I will just do a small slide for the fridge and side storage that can be accessed via the gullwings. Try and keep everything tidy, and maybe do the upper shelf storage dealio that lots of you guys have done. At least till I change my mind again! Now I just need my @NLXTACY Quarter panel mount, so I can tackle all the wiring.!

Slowly making progress on getting my new project cleaned up. Pulled the step rails, fender flares (going all the way de-flaring), found a set of stock wheels, got tires on, pulled all the seats and gave the carpet a pretty deep clean... Now if work will just get out of my way.

Some point I think I will need to put together a build thread

Heater bypass complete!...on the 90deg I used the gates 28467 from Oriellys auto, gates green stripe on everything else....re-did PHH as well and added two rubber insulated clamps (keep heater hose from dancing around) that are to small but will be fine till I can get bigger size for 5/8th (I" O.D) hose size.

Wire kit, cap, rotor and plugs arrived and Koyorad A11918 showed up today as well, so installed it, fit like a glove ;)
