Sorry I would not of quoted your post if I new you were going to take it personal, but there are more than 2 choices for on board air as you stated.;)

Do be careful on who you judge when you dont know the facts. My friend Scott aka scrowley totally understood my position on Marlin Gears and it had nothing to do with gear quality. He did used his savings to order a pair of our Flip up Windows. I did immediately call and bust his balls for not supporting Marlin and spending money on not one but a pair of Flip up windows($850), a luxury item for most.

FYI - When you use cheap sarcasm to attach me and my products the orders follow. I do appreciate the added business but it would be nice if you did it pleasantly.

Thankfully my fab guy had a bunch of stuff ready today.

Que????

It believe you are the one taking it personal, I merely stated some facts. Again I specifically said there are 2 Options IMHO.....that stands for In My Honest Opinion. And I explained that is due to the features I like on the ARB. Yes that are many many options BUT IMHO there are only two good options......again, to me! I'm simply telling someone MY opinion and it's for them to decide. Never did I put anyone else's opinion down.

Btw when did I even mention the word cheap? I simply said what is more valueble to you isn't necessarily valuable to me, that's all based on personal opinions and need.

So not sure why you got your panties all twisted up in a bunch but I didn't say anything bad about your setup, intact I said it is also a good setup. Seriously are we in middle school and having a pissing match about who said what?

Now if you stop getting all pissy about what people said on the internet and make a mount for the arb instead of saying it's too expensive and poor value you might gain some customers instead of pushing them away.

Now let's get back to the thread and I will not comment further on this subject.

Drove up to the Canada/ Minnesota border for some dog sledding, camping and even had the chance to crash in a Yurt for a night.

Made a Viair Portable 300P into a hard mount be making the battery clamps into a quick disconnect attachment to use only when needed as a portable unit.

No. And Puma is no better than Viair or ARB. And ARB is better than Puma or Viair. That's what I've learned at this point. Seriously. It's different strokes for different folks.

You're no fun. Here I am trying to stir the pot and you go all peacemaker on me. I guess I'll just go to bed.

Puma: I like its CFM and longevity. I don't like its size and noise.

Viair: I like the options, longevity and CFM. I also like its simplicity. I don't like the amount of heat it gives off.

ARB: I like the look of it and the warranty. I don't like the ACTUAL CFM vs compatible compressors. I don't like how complicated installation can be. I hate that they die easily from heat.

I'm not stirring any pots, but I live in the desert lol. 40C+ for 10 months of the year. No heat issues

Is that the magnetic drive version with 100% duty cycle ?

I know of 2 of the ARB twins where only 1 side is working.

Air up part only has 2 options IMHO, the cheaper way is smitty build 5cfm portable pump for 150 at 4wheel parts or the fancier and more expensive Arb onboard twin compressor!

I wouldn't discount the ExtremeAire compressor line. I have had mine since 2006 without a single hitch. I have also never heard of a single failure. I think it is very worthy to add to the club. It is also priced in between the two you mentioned.

Product : Extreme Outback

I personally couldn't trust the ARB as I have seen two failures of the twins.

Smitty

Anyone go this compressor route?
Omega AC15 12V 1.5 Gallon Air Compressor | eBay

Two important question unanswered -
Duty cycle - I would not consider any compressor without 100% duty cycle
Amperage rating - A good indication if its serious or not
