Glanced at the dash and saw this. Neat-o

Just changed mine a few minutes ago. No leaks so far but I have plenty of cat scratches to prove I did it. Is there any way to tell the date of manufacture from the sticker on the filter? Here's mine.

Dang. Can't really read the numbers after uploading it.
Here they are:
23300-66040
186100-3070
307 on the right. 07 are larger numbers so I'm guessing that might be the year?

So if this is not the original fuel filter then it is definitely old! The parts guy at Toyota told me they stopped putting fuel filters on their cars some years ago because they never got clogged up. Not sure if I agree with that but my filter definitely needed a change.

Today was a day of maintenance. Changed the fluids, spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, and dizzy o-ring. Also replaced the climbing pins on the old hi-lift.

Confirmed I twisted my sector shaft. Plan to call Redneck Ram on Monday and send my box off to get ported and get their hydro assist kit. Further down the big tire rabbit hole we go...

Pulled the original radiator and replacING with a tyc from rock auto.

#6 did not help at all.
I messed it up even more.

OK Dude....this is like getting someone interested in a movie and then saying "to be continued". You have to post up how you fixed the problem and what was causing it. I have a computer science degree and I always struggle with wiring. Shouldn't be that complicated but.....

I said %$#@ it, then went back to #6.

Took the harness out. Check the fuses and found out I blew a fuse. 15A.

There is a prologue and an epilogue in a separate thread DEPO Lights with a Slee Harness

I think I messed it all up probing around with the multimeter.

Computer science is not directly related to wiring diagrams as far as I can tell.

I am a human mechanic and this stuff makes absolutely no sense to me. I want to slap her around and ask why don't you try harder to work your problems out, but she just sits there in an inert state. Maybe it's because she's Japanese and still does not understand anything I yell at her.

Dressed up the steering wheel.

Checked/tightened some suspension components then drove myself to Track 7 for a beers. Finished (V1) my solar panel setup.

I made a list of stuff to order. I should have my v1 version wired up soon.

I think you have a ground (or lack of) issue. The "brown" light is from the other side grounding through it. Also, the blown fuse is from too much resistance from lack of ground therefore overheating the citcuit and popping the fuse.

I'm not an electrical engineer but I did sleep at a Holiday Inn Express last night

As I am saying Good Night to my wife tonight, I am heading over to the nearest Holiday Inn with my 80.
Hopefully tomorrow morning the issues will be all sorted out after I have breakfast there.
Wish me luck, or Good Night rather.

At this point I think "I blew it".
I'm not worried. It's really nothing @NLXTACY can't fix. But, I'll give him the opportunity to start another 25 page thread on proper wiring for the Depo lights. :flipoff2:

Computer science absolutely is not related to wiring but if I could figure out IBM systems programming manuals out in the mid 1970s and J2EE and .Net in 2016 you'd think I could read a wiring diagram and get it to work. NOT SO! It is just as confusing but in new and novel ways!

Reinstalled my attic rack, re
lubed and Reinstalled my front drive shafts, ran all new wiring for my solar setup, completed my roof penetration wiring for the rack lights and solar, hooked up my alley lights and ran wiring for the rear lights, fashioned up a nifty way to hold my MC4 solar connector/fuse/"T" so I can add a second panel when I go camping, Reinstalled passenger wall panel, reinstalled my REI RTT platform, built a milk crate sleeping platform AND carpeted said platform, found out that my new CTEK charger has fixed my chronic low battery voltage and loaded up and used my new micro grease gun.

Washer bottle relocation. Don't have fluid in it because I forgot to pick up the nozzles and rubber grommet for the pump. Will do that Monday.
