This weekend my slave and master cylinder are being replaced. Clutch went soft, then wouldn't move when in gear. Apparently there was a leak. Guess this is just part of owning an older rig

@78crzr I installed a set of Carhartt covers in early 2023. Really like them, very sturdy etc. and they resist stains very well.👍👍

However, if you do get a stain I’ve found nothing that works really good to remove it. Simple Green along with lots of elbow grease. And even then only so so results. Enjoy…but be careful.

John and @78crzr I've been eyeing these Carhartt covers for a long time. Do they breathe? Some covers look great and protect well, but often have some sort of vinyl backing (Tuff Duck covers come to mind, I had a set) and can sweat you out. We live in swamp a$$ country, it's a legit concern. :hillbilly:

@Skniper So far I haven’t gotten that experience from these, but we’ve also had pleasant temps for the past few days. Underside of the covers feels like a thin layer of foam. Won’t be impervious to water, but also think this will make them more breathable as well. I had been eyeing them too and decided to take a chance and grab them while they were on sale a few months ago. Installation was a breeze.

@John McVicker Thanks for the heads up on the staining and Simple Green cleaning tip. I’m not a big fan of seat covers but these seem to be a good option as those things go.

Wonder if the washing machine on gentle cycle would harm them. Was thinking Tide & Oxyclean might get them cleaned up if they start to get too bad. We typically use the 60 on days we mountain bike, which is why I bought the covers. Keep sweat and dirt off of the upholstery.

@78crzr Regarding do the Carhartt covers breath? I’ve not had any issues with that at all. They seem to breath quite well.

To be fair…I do live in the mountains & while it does get into triple digits every year, the humidity here is very low. I’m very happy with these seat covers.

EDIT: Opps, just saw your comments about washing them. I believe that would be a good option if you really get a good size stain. My stains are relatively small & cleaned up fairly well. For now I just don’t want to go to the trouble of removing & reinstalling them. But if I do get a bad ass stain, putting them in the washing machine is something I will try.

Are these the precision fit covers, or the regular style?

^^^ @Skniper yes, mine are the Precision Fit covers.

I used it to pick up some plywood for a cabinet project. It then refused to start after the afternoon of functioning as wood storage. Any 24V guys out there??
