It's what all the cool kids are doing.

Having fun with a FJ60 that donated it's organs for a FJ40 project.

RWD V8 powered beast that handles and seats 5 people and carries stuff. ....with a little luck, it should run 12's in the quarter.
In the back of my mind i knew this answer was coming, should make an interesting drag car. Id lose my mind if i saw a 60 do a wheel stand

Not a drag car, an all around hot rod. It should haul a$$, but it should ride good too, and take a corner...and carry four friends to the beach.

spend to much time online looking for a replacment 60 cheap vs repairing my fender. Also, looking for over a month to move out of this lame house and into another house. Rent a room ...dirt cheap....it comes with a leaky garage! There are LOTS of rooms for rent "houses rent for $1,500 per month" and did not have that kind of money, so renting a room with a garage to use is what I need to settle for. Now, I need to figure out how to stop the leaking ...temporarily. The landlord will most likely pay for a large tarp over the garage. How to brace the tarp and get the water to shed off the garage...anyone got any ideas?

One that is done, will have a garage to use to do my body repairs. :)

Get the tarp big enough to wrap under the edge of roof and tack down with boards. You should see the shop here. Looks like 4 layers of tarp. Or 1 big ass tarp folded over a few times.

I decided to rust proof the roof gutter so I drilled a 12mm hole centre of back above the back window external and to my amazement I found out if you remove the interior back light there is a 8mm hole which allows you to inject rust preventer into the gutter area which will run from the back all the way to the front of the front doors and drip out onto the ground thus basically rust proofing the gutter from front to back. I filled a syringe that takes a 6mm hose and injected about 150ml of fish oil in both directions on both sides and it took about ten minutes to reach the front. I hope someone gets a benefit out of this and you wont have a 12mm grommet in your roof like I have

Never heard of using Fish oil, please enlightn me...
I have used Automatic Trans Fluid, it will creep/wick up the metal surface and provide good protection.
Nice tip on filling from the rear light, cheers!

Yes, please inform us more on this hole and injection point. I do not recall a hole under the cargo light.

FINALLY!!!!!! Poser status achieved! Added my big ghey rotopax to the rear tire carrier. I like that the tire is locked into place now too.

no its empty, but i don't foresee any problems. if it can hold the tire and me bouncing on it without deflecting very much, it can hold an extra 30lbs of brcket/fuel on the trail.

edit: And if it doesn't... Jason on comin for you LOL!!!!!!

Are you going to get Aiden to make you a license plate holder? His looks good... I wish my little brother was into cruisers :(

Looking at this on my phone, it looks like one of those Baywatch floaters :).
It looks good.

You have to remove the light and look about 30mm in behind the light I just checked the hj61 and it has it as well also to the left of it there's a bigger opening like 25mm by 50mm. my hj61 has a wire running in the gutter area so maybe its for access but great for rust proofing

In Australia we use fish oil all the time, It comes these days in deodorized as well as the raw stuff, It can smell for a while if you do under the carpets but not like dead fish just a oily smell it penetrates seams and eventually goes semi hard. I have been using it for 35 years and it is great rust preventer. There are new ones out now as well, SW 2 by PPC is chemically based and if I am just trying it out in certain locations where I have to apply paint as fish oil is not real paint friendly. As you can see in the picture I use an injector and air compressor for bulk areas. I litre of Raw fish oil cost about 14 dollars at Repco and 1 Litre of SW 2 is about 44 dollars from your paint and panel shop. Septone make the deodorized and I buy it in 4 litre for around 40 dollars.

Well that's the one thing I learned today. That's awesome.

ill probably just make it during the week. Right now the plate's just sort of zip tied to the swing out.

Are you old enough to drink beer?

You guys are gonna be happy i have that floaty when y'all decide to go swimming after getting a little too familiar with that bottle opener and I'm forced to go slow-motion Hasselhoffing down the beach singing "ILL BE THEEEEREE!!!" to rescue your drunk asses... Atleast thats how it went down in my fantasy.
