Yes and not enough time for either place.
That’s always how it works. A few years ago I took a cross country road trip out west. I spent a day or two in various spots across the desert Southwest. As I was driving home, I was thinking how amazing it was and I how I wish I had more time to see things. Made it home, quit my job, packed up my house, and moved out here almost a year to the day after that road trip. Best decision ever.

Been playing with the Cruisers lately - at least my 60 series! :)

Loading up for a day on the river - got one of my combine inner tubes to fit fully inflated!

Damn that was fast..!!
Actually on the way back now. I’m stuck in Whitehorse. Started having brake problems last night, progressed to the point of being dangerous. The brakes are locking up after using the parking brake. Then, while leaving the airport, they locked up while driving at about 15 mph! Fortunately there’s a Toyota dealer in WH, so I’m there now waiting for them to take a look.

Really lucky this didn’t happen while in the middle of nowhere on the Dempster!

I bet if you disconnected the parking brake cables at the brake drum, you would be back on your way

The thing that scared me is that the brake pedal isn’t right either. It’s lower, but will come back after one pump of the pedal. My first thought was just avoid using the parking brake, but with the pedal not right. I’m not taking a chance. Very strange...

Sounds like the MC is on the way out...
Here is to get you going ASP....!!

I’m in luck. Brake shoe lining separated from the shoe and was getting jammed. Just need new shoes. They’re available at Napa. A couple more hours and $500 and I’ll be on the road...

I run the stock air cleaners on my fuel injections. I have snorkels so I have modified the intake to exit the passenger side

This is a photo of the engine bay with the AFI tbi. It will look the same after the Sniper.

The tank is a PowerSurge Fuel pump system. I used it on my FJ55 with Sniper and it is absolutely awesome
Looks great. No snorkel but that’s how I want it to look after I Snipe it.

Reached this milestone on the way to the Phoenix VA hospital yesterday. I finally think I need to put a clutch in it. It’s occasionally slipped since I bought the truck, but it was really not happy yesterday. This truck has had all kinds of trans issues dating back to the mid 80’s, so I’ll pull it apart and put my own eyes on it and see what’s going on, since 126k is early for needing a clutch.

Another few hundred miles of Forrest roads.
Since the OME lift I still have a rear end whine (only hear it on pavement) I’ve rebuilt the drive shafts. Checked to see that output and pinion angles match. Could it just be the lack of rubber insulators between the shackle and the axle?
