Picked up a bunch of spare parts locally. Well worth it.

Whipped up a quick/simple/cheap exhaust for @mblommel 60 this morning (still the weekend!) Walker Quietflow SS in the longest available length gives a nice quiet stock sound even with headers. Tubing is all 408 stainless which gives great corrosion resistance for low cost.

After getting the Speedhut gauges tested Saturday, took family hiking to Ramona Falls below the western flank of Mt. Hood.

The 7 mile hike took about 4 hours with the kids and dogs. It gains about 1,000’ in 3.5 miles and goes through the very scenic Sandy River valley. This valley has been shaped by glaciers, volcanic eruptions and floods.

Enjoyed a great day off with the Hojack clan.

Went with some friends to the Mt Hood NF to do some dispersed camping off the Old Barlow Road, but it was still closed. We found a spot nearby on the east fork of Hood River, at Polallie. Not too far from the Hojacks I think!

Camp kitchen in the 60, chopped up some deadfall, got the weenies on the fire.

Rain rolled in and we set up a shantytown on the 4Runner. We'd both looked at the forecast and failed to bring any kind of a popup shelter, so we made do with tarps and a rain fly. A little third world ingenuity got everything leak free and smoke drafting properly.

I have a few new to-do list items:
- wire in some USB outlets
- tune-up and valve adjust as it seems to struggle uphill more than usual
- make a flat, easily cleanable tailgate panel

All told a really pleasant weekend with friends and the Cruiser.
