Thought about putting a FOR SALE sign on my ‘69 pig since it looks like no one is planning a Pig Parry this year. 😎

Oil change. Brown brought me a couple filters and I used up all the odd quarts and leftover jugs that I had sitting around. I had 6 quarts stashed in the Pig, some had been there quite a while. Drained out the old Restore & Protect and took a good look at it, it was 10 months old, Might have 3k miles on it. Not too dark, could still see through it.

Went for a drive, took it for lunch. Nice sunny day, not tourist season, flowering trees, no snow, etc. Had to check a few things; last time I drove it it had a dragging brake, I banged all around the parking brake drum with a mallet, think that fixed it. I really should take it apart and clean it up. Turn signal switch works better since I snugged up the screws in there when I was working on the dimmer switch. The auto-cancel works every time in both directions now. Started to think about doing an oil change.
Got a burger and beerrun done with one stop, forgot to get a pic of the gas price (6 bucks). Place is less than a mile from me as the crow flies but 3 miles via paved road with lots of ups and downs so I circulated the dinos and exercised the secondary.

$6/gallon gas...

Nuthin' much, just picked up Grandson at school. I had the biggest tires so I got to go first...

IDK, the moms at pick up where my boy went to school were pretty mean. They would cut you off in a heartbeat. I thought it was always safer to just let them fight amongst themselves...

I didn't spend all that money on body armor to sit on the sidelines watching a catfight. I've got the Manley-Man bumpers that can take a beating and get fixed with a rattle can. Plus i got no airbags to worry about...

$6/gallon gas...
Today at that station;

Diesel
$7.30 *
Regular
$6.30 *
Midgrade
$6.60 *
Premium
$6.90 *

But that station serves the highway traffic coming back from Tahoe, nobody local buys gas there. It's a buck cheaper down the road around the corner...

tiniest bit of routine maintenance; got out the special ft/lb torque wrench that I bought just for my oilpan bolts and re-torqued them all to 7. They all needed some. I replaced the oilpan gasket 10 months ago and it all looks surprisingly dry. I've never been able to do that before. So I took a pic.

I de-tusked Humphrey. Yes, Humphrey. The turtle pig.
Received a hood safety catch hook from a fellow conservator, gave it a quick once over with a hammer and pliers, it bolted right up, and worked perfectly. No more getting stabbed in the ribs as I tend the block!!!
Thank you @Pighead !!!

Wrapped up one caliper...That only took 2 weeks. Decided that I needed more of the soft brakehoses because I broke one. It's not as easy to get brakehoses made as it used to be, so I sent away for a pair. Spent much of the day grinding down the new calipers to fit my wheels, and putting the wheel on & off. I usually love my tires, except for today. Found a rattle can with no top so my calipers are white where I had to grind on them, but you can hardly tell with the wheels on and I bet white doesn't last long there

Oh, checked the grease level in the knuckle through the little hole there, could see some good-looking grease inside and on my dipstick. Topped it off with most of a little tube anyway.
