What wheel sizes are all the cool kids running these days? I'm about a week away from dropping a load on a new set of 35 x 12.5 - 15 BFG MT's. Would have liked to keep going with the ProComp Xterrains, but they don't offer them in a 15 anymore. Tire companies are phasing out some of the older wheel sizes like 16's and 16.5's, wondering if 15's are trying to go by the wayside. Thought about maybe going with some 17's, but just cringe ant the idea of aluminum wheels on the pig. I'm not much of a fan of any modern wheel style. There's one or two at the most I'd even remotely consider, and it'd be another grand for a set, so 2g's for a new combo.(?) Good grief!

Trying to re-seal my gutters who knows a good sealant for my piggie?

no kidding, i love 15's

i really want a set of factory 16.5 6-lugs from a 67-72 chevy...they have hubcap clips but they were rare even when new

Walkerm916,

SEM makes a good product, look at this one...SEM Self Leveling Seam Sealer - 39387
Thanks for the product pitch I will look into it. For now I used a clear sealant just to keep the water and humidity from destroying my gutters I will check on it in the morning should be rubber by then. Cheap temp I'll spend the money once I get the all the gutter cleaned up and patched just a few bad spots but otherwise just getting the old sealant out of the gutter was my main

I temp installed my mirrors on the piggie. I'll be taking them back off tomorrow to clean up the doors around them.

Why not get some 16" Toyota wheels (or just steel wheels) and run a tall/skinnier tire? Keeps the classic look and opens up a world of tire sizes and brands. Yes, 15's are going away, but BFG still makes the 33x10.5x15 in the AT and MT, and lots of tall/skinny tire options in 16" wheel. 16s are still prevalent. 12.5 wide tires tend to stick out from under the fender too much once you get the correct backspaced wheels to limit rubbing.

Check out my tall narrow look on 60 diffs! Finished the rear springs swap on my pig today

Custom spring pack:
top is my original rear leaf springs from my 40. they are mostly a 60 series pack with the load leaf removed, then 3rd, 4th and 5th longest leaves are from a 75 series.
middle is the hybrid 55 pack with 2 longest being from the 55, as well as the 2 short load leaves, rest (i guess 3 x 75 and 1 x 60 leaf) from my pack.
the bottom is the original 55 pack.

Really liking the stance now on 34" tyres

Dude, that is killer, especially with the full floater hubs! Looks like you have good shackle angles too. Were you able to address the leanage with your custom packs?

What lean do you mean? Before I had only done the front springs, now both are in but I notice it rakes a bit with the rear higher than the front.. If you mean drivers side lean I dont see it.

I fabricated a GM master cylinder to Toyota booster adapter out of some 1/2" Aluminum plate today. Over the weekend, mounted my GM350 in its final position and started bolting accessories to it. Also made a rather depressing (long!) list of what parts i need to round up to finish.
