I got new rims! Still need tires but it's a step towards total blackout.

BS is 3.75". That is what the spacing is on my current rims. I got these at 4 wheel parts for $56 each. Hard to pass up.

I found an old pic of the '75 I used to have when it was mine, it was pretty far from stock but the body is in better condition than the '78 that I ought to work on today.

Well, finally finished the rear bumper for the 55. Found a piece of 2 x 6" rectangular tubing at work- damn heavy piece it's 3/8" wall! Trimmed the ends and closed it in. Milled some nice brackets that fit inside the frame rails and get bolted to the rails. The end of the bracket with the hole for a shackle is milled to 3/4" thickness and sticks out through the bumper. I milled 13/16" slots in the bumper itself and slid it over the brackets, up against the crossmember and welded the brackets to the bumper. The bumper also has four holes drilled and tapped 12MM and four bolts through the crossmember really secure it to the truck. It really came out nice- I'm happy with it. Also finally got the driver side front shock mount built and installed. When I did the Scout PS install I removed the ioriginal upper shock mount. Made this one up in removeable form in case I ever need to remove the Scout box- it bolts to the 3/4" mounting plate I welded in when doing the Scout install. One upright had to be dimpled to clear the fitting (currently unuised) on the box that was for the hydro assist on the 55 the box came from. All in all I'm pretty happy with the way it worked out and looks. Let me know what you think. Gary S
Look great Gary!!!! I need to get to work on mine soon.

Bumper bracket

Found another picture that shows how the bumper brackets were mounted. I milled them from 1 1/2" stock, the part that goes through the bumper is 3/4" wide. the bracckets bolt to the fraem top and sides. Turned out pretty well. Gary
