What did you do to your pig today?

Great pictures! The 80 was lucky, just the u-joint stuff broke. He found the weak link, I guess. How did you guys get him back.

he drove out in two wheel drive. he even chained up and went up the trail a ways with us. just didn't play in the drifts like we did ;) the driver is a very excellent wheeler and his rig is very well set up.

Watched the ice melt off of it, charged the batteries because somebody left the radio on...and found another pic from the run.

It's just a routine SOA with mostly original springs...

It's 75 here today but those are some awesome photos... Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to take a road trip out there again.

Who left the radio on?
I am thinking there are two suspects...

Well, seeing as Ige drove her own rig I'm thinking maybe it was Pighead...

Spent a bit of time of Thursday rolling around under Spot trying to figure out if mounting a winch behind the driver's seat and routing the cable fore (and aft when needed) via a pulley below it would be feasible... Hard to decide with no drivetrain in the truck though....

Put down a deposit on a 60 series full float rear axle today...will pick it up on a Moab trip..... need to track down another 80 series rear e-locker to put in it...

Too cold and too damn much snow at the farm to get doing much more yet. I already need 4 tire chains to get in the unplowed lane, and they are talking about another 6 or 8 inches of snow tomorrow.

Be glad for the snow man, fire season started yesterday here - the Galena fire is ~1000 acres.
Could be a long summer...

Yah, I'm happy to see it. Makes life a little more, um, interesting right now, but we need the moisture after a very dry late summer and fall last year. I really need to put on my 33s.

Today; untangled tire chains, washed windows, took the heater apart and vacuumed out the core and the fan, fixed the big crack in the main duct (with duct tape naturally).

with annie around, pighead and i have been neglecting the three little piggies, so he fixed his heater the other day, and i ordered new windshields for the other two. picked them up today.

will start ripping the headliners out soon and get the new headliners both hung so they can get unwrinkled, then, when we have some warm time pull the old cracked windshields and the side glass, clean up the weatherstrips and install everything....will be sooooo nice:bounce::bounce2:

pighead is converting the blue piggie back to an aisan carb (started out as a 4barrel edelbrock when i got it, i put a stock manifold back on with a weber that a friend gave me, but then i got the aisan so the weber went bye bye ;) ), but looks like it won't be running this weekend.

you'll notice how nice and shiny it looked yesterday afternoon when i took the pics of the windshields...todays pics are of piggies in blankets (second pic is mostly 'fat bastard', but you can see twrecks next to it and the pickle behind it)
