wow, so where did they take up residency?

if it's at all like the pickle, everywhere...rockers, gap between hood and apron, under the lower valance, between a pillar and doors.....

Got stung myself this afternoon mucking around on the newest addition, a '76 Pig pretty much unmolested and with only minor rust. The little devils survived the PO's attempts to rout them, 225 miles home through heavy rain, my attempts to wash them out of every nook and cranny at the car wash before unloading from the trailer, and some additional removal once parked behind the fence. Perhaps the sting was the equivalent of a nicotine patch and an attempt to gently ease the addiction that now has me possessing my fifth FJ55 in a little over four years.

Yep... pretty much. In the dash, in the rust holes, in the headliner... two foggers and three cans of spray latter I finally was able to get it more or less safely. Drove 10 miles to my parents house and got out and they all started swarming around it again... crazy little bastards.

I cut off the rusty rocker panels to start building some sliders and they had made nests in there too.

I also put some nice new Honda Civic seats in and finally got rid of that broken nasty bench. So much more fun to drive with nice seats that don't have springs poking your bum while you drive.

Finished up my project in back. Now I have plenty of tie downs, my 02 tank is secured and the new fridge has a home. All ready for the FJ Summit next week.

Yep. I held off buying one for a long time because of cost. But everytime I went on the trail with someone that had one I saw how cool they were. So I finally broke down. Going on its maiden run next week.

What size is that one, 50qt. or the 62qt. I took one to Baja, back in '91, worked out good.

I hung my new Drivers Front door, started putting together the cooling system and pulled the rear tank. I will start running new lines soon, I had to knock off for a movie night with my helpers and the :princess:...

Still tinkering with wiring. After getting it running last week, and 2 very watery oil changes (I'm not sure how the engine is still alive), the engine is sorted out. A p.o. decided to take a whack at being an electrician, and I hate them for it. My patience is running thin, but I'm getting somewhat, er, intimate with the Piggers now... It'll all be worth it, eventually.

when you're done, wanna come deal with mine...the blue pig has a pretty serious draw somewhere and the green pig has severely sunburnt wiring with terminals that disintegrate when you touch them and wiring more cracked than a fifty year old tire.

Great job!

Hang in there...

Only if I can charge electrician rates per hour... It wouldn't be too bad if it weren't for all the random splicing, which I can't tell what's factory and what's from the PO. My wiring diagram is filling up with pencil notes....

By the way, anyone know how many fuses SHOULD be on the fuse box? Piggers ('73) has six, the diagram shows eight, and my parts rig Bacobits also has 8...

LOL! if only I could charge electricians rates for electrical work:lol:an I even got papers.meh. I have a 73 harness only slightly molested in the back of the old wagon. I'll have a look tomorrow and see if I can help.

I received my knuckle centering tool!

Finally got my piggy closer to home. Soon time to start dissassembling some parts and the restoration will begin.
