Link?

What size tires are you running?

No link, but I found the gear on Man-a-fre's site. I am running 33x10.50's, 31's were stock. My speedometer was off ~8% and the stock (33 tooth) gear was removed and replaced with a 31 tooth. Apparently on the 91/92 the gear will adjust your speedometer and your shift points. I have heard (through the interwebs) that on the 93-97's only your speedometer will change. I dug up some discussions here on Mud about this topic before I bought it. It was a Toyota factory part.

Cool. I'll take a look at it. Thanks

Edit: Do you have the part number for the gear you swapped in?

Otter, the part # is 33403-69225. Again, that is for the 31 tooth speedometer gear.

Looks like it is discontinued, hence I paid more than the $20 or so that it retails for. If you can find it on the shelf somewhere you are in luck!

I had been thinking about it for awhile and finally decided to trim my front bumper. I went a little conservative and left enough of the bumper for a little more protection. I might trim more off later.

Installing a small but strong 150# gas charged strut for my tire swingout instead of the spring mounted locking pin.
Welded in the studs, and now in process of cleaning it up and appliying some paint.
Works mo better :hillbilly:

Just got it back from Murf! Can't say enough about his team's service. Fixed her up good, pretty much everything leaking, rear axle seals, most other seals, new rear rotors and pads since they there and fixed emergency brake. Had them do the tint and most other basic services and checks. The list was long and now the wallet is helium light. But worth it having it done right.

Also just installed Fiamm AM80 horns out of a Mustang, got the front speakers done today with the Pioneers most go with, just can't beat the price from Amazon. Threw in some Akron phone and iPad mounts in prep for our journey at the end of the month. More progress tomorrow hopefully.

Where did you get struts? I need to do this to my swing outs.

where did you get the struts?

I got them from Luke at 4x4 labs which is the same set up he uses on his rear bumper. As usual, Luke is a good guy to do business with.

Man, you're not messing around getting her fixed up :steer:

I know. Bunch of little stuff but good. Thanks again for all of your help with my repairs.

Its 9PM and the 100 series is loaded to leave for Mexico at 6AM. Everything under the hood looks good but for good measures (OCD) lets grease the u-joints.

Ekk I find all this red stuff on the back of the engine WTF.:bang: A plastic T connector has the same red stuff on it. I touch it and now I have 2 piece and engine blood running out, great! Out comes the plumbing box and some copper fittings and we are good to go in short time. I ended up making 2 copper T so I can replace the other plastic T in the near future.
